The acorn and the oak tree: The treasure in you

Did you know that inside the little acorn God has placed its greatest potential to become a mighty oak tree? He has done the same with you and me, creating us with beautiful treasure within us for Jesus' glory. Join Beth Jones and her guest speaker Muneyi Charity as Muneyi shares part of her intense grief journey, losing her husband and family members to death, but how God is turning it around for His Divine purpose and to minister to others. Muneyi is now writing a 52-week journal to be published on September 8, the same day that her precious husband passed away. Adversity is the place where God's glory is revealed through you. The fire increases your value. You are no longer a caterpillar, but a magnificent butterfly, free to fly. Muneyi Charity is an author and speaker who would love to come to your city to speak for a women's conference or retreat, a prison, or a shelter for the homeless to minister the love and forgiveness of God and hope through Jesus Christ. Leading a small group in your home with Rick & Doreen Penner

Are you part of a small group for Christian fellowship? Do you have a desire to host and/or lead a small group Bible study in your home? Join Beth Jones as she interviews Rick and Doreen Penner sharing about leading a small group Bible study in their home in Steinbach, Manitoba, Canada. Rick and Doreen speak about how they got started doing small groups and why they began; what they do during the weekly meetings; what not to do when leading one; and testify about the great impact this has had on them as leaders and on the attendees, such as one woman who went on a mission trip. Hear how the first step to inviting people to your small group may be simply having coffee with a new friend and how even Rick's and Doreen's little dog Jake joins in to worship Jesus with them! Scriptures: Hebrews 10:25, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.  Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.  Matthew 28: 18-20 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” About Rick and Doreen Penner Over the years, Rick Penner has served faithfully in his local church as a youth leader, small‑groups coordinator, taught adult Sunday school, small‑group leader, and part of the spiritual leadership team.  Rick currently works with the Department of Education, where he provides steady leadership, mentorship, and guidance to his colleagues and to school division personnel in the school bus transportation field.  When he’s not working or serving, you’ll likely find him outdoors — tending to his yard and keeping it in immaculate condition, a hobby he truly enjoys. Doreen Penner is a speaker, writer, and heart freedom coach.  She helps women do the heart work that sets them free so they can step boldly into what God has called them to do.  Doreen is a former counsellor, has taught counselling courses, and worked at a women’s shelter.  Women’s ministry has always been important to her.  Doreen uses her gifts by leading a small group women’s study, leading retreats, having coffee connections, and finding creative ways to invite women into her world (like dessert around the fire pit).  Her deep desire is to connect women to their heart, and to God. Interview with Craig Alsup of Manna Worldwide: Say yes to God

When you say "Yes" to God, miraculous things happen. When they were younger, Craig and his wife Jennifer worked two and three jobs to save money, then sold everything they had to have exciting adventures, traveling the world in 76 countries. As they traveled, they saw many hungry children with no or little education having to work to help support their families (such as one child selling chickens on the side of the road), the atrocity of trafficked children, and other heart breaking things. Fast forward many years, and now they travel the world again as missionaries for Jesus, but with the help of the amazing Manna Worldwide organization, which has been rescuing children from the grip of poverty for 25 years and does so much more. Listen on this episode to a few of the powerful stories that Craig shares as he and his wife traveled the globe for Christ, including adopting children in need to become part of their own family, keeping hungry children from being trafficked, witch doctors being saved through faith in Christ, and much more. Hear how God has sovereignly provided every need to fulfill the Great Commission. *** Craig Alsup is a follower of Christ with a personal mission to impact the world through both Christian missionary service and entrepreneurship. He has been married to his wife Jennifer for 20 years and has 6 kids. He serves full-time as Associate Director for Asia with MANNA Worldwide, leading mission teams and building partnerships to launch and sustain churches, nutrition centers, and orphanages.  Craig also consults with entrepreneurs and business leaders on systems, efficiency, and marketing, speaks at churches and leadership events, and leads Lonestar Dads Fort Worth to help dads build authentic connection and community. Craigs passion is helping churches, business leaders, and individuals align their lives with their mission to impact the world.  Website: mannaworldwide.comInstagram: @mannaworldwide Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Alsups4Asia *******Beth Jones is an International Speaker, Author, wife to paramedic Ray, and mom of 3 beautiful daughters, Heather, Eden, and Leah. 5. The Biblical meaning of 26. Bye 25, Happy New Year 2026.

    12/31/2025

The Biblical meaning of 26. Bye 25, Happy New Year 2026.

Goodbye 2025 (hard but necessary lessons) and Happy New Year 2026. Numbers are important and significant in the Bible. The Hebrew numerical value of 26 is God's sacred name, YHWH. It symbolizes God's divine presence and perfection. In Numbers 26, a census of Israel was taken. It marked the new generation to enter the Promised Lane - a people prepared for their inheritance of blessings from God. In 2026, we will experience God's presence with us and our inheritance of blessings as we walk in obedience to God and His Word.I also share about my "one word" for 2026, anchor, my verse, and my song ("The Anchor Holds"). What is yours? I encourage you to set aside time today or tonight to pray about the coming new year 2026, for God's presence to be with you and your family, for His protection, divine health, prosperity, wisdom, and guidance. At the end of this video, I pray for you. Have a blessed last day of 2025 and a Happy, Blessed New Year 2026.Scriptures:Numbers 26Hebrews 6:19, NLT"This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary."The Anchor Holds songhttps://youtu.be/MSAc5Z2lprk?si=T2KaunCsTZOTF_xZMy new upcoming book, Write Your Book: How to Just StartAmazon Author Page: https://www.amazon.com/author/bethmjonesCoaching for new speakers & authorshttps://www.bethjones.net/share-your-message-next-step/*******Beth Jones is an International Speaker, Author of 33 books, wife to paramedic Ray, and mom of 3 beautiful daughters, Heather, Eden, and Leah. 12/21/2025

What is your one-word 2026? Here's mine, my verse, & my song

What is your one-word, your Scripture verse, and your song for 2026? At the end of each year, I look back and see what went well, what didn't, and pray about and plan for the coming new year. Usually, the way I receive the word is an impression from God, seeing or hearing a word or a phrase repeatedly, through a song, or other ways. Listen to this week's new, short episode as I share my one-word, Scripture verse, and song for 2026. Scripture references in video: Hebrews 6:19, NLT Acts 27:13-44 The book I mentioned in this episode - Walking With God: Walking Through the Valley of the Shadow (KDP eBook available for sale at Amazon): https://www.amazon.com/Walking-God-Through-Valley-Shadow-ebook/dp/B0FC17QX4R/ Thank you so much for listening today. Use your gifts in Marketplace Ministry (Herb & Diane Bishop)

Jesus told us in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." We as Christian believers often think that the Kingdom of God (and using our spiritual gifts, talents, and skills) means just inside the four walls of the church that we attend. But God wants us to bring His Kingdom everywhere we go, out into the marketplace, because His Kingdom (His Holy Spirit) is inside of us. In this episode, Herb and Diane Bishop speak about the power of Marketplace Ministry, using our gifts in the world, even in their jobs as realtors.
