#117: The Courage to Ask Better Questions

At the start of this year, I was forced to slow down in a way I didn’t choose. Health challenges and a heart procedure changed my energy, my expectations, and how I move through my days. This episode is about what happens when listening to yourself becomes essential. Rather than pushing for clarity or solutions, I leaned more deeply into my writing practice and into the power of asking better questions.  This episode explores why transformation begins with the courage to ask questions that quiet the noise and make space for intuition to respond. WHAT WE’LL COVER: ✔ How health challenges shifted how I relate to myself ✔ Why answers often create pressure instead of clarity ✔ The role of questions in life coaching and self-coaching ✔ How better questions quiet noise and invite intuition ✔ Three kinds of questions that support real change ✔ Why writing is a powerful place to listen and tell the truth You’re invited to listen and take what resonates. WRITING PROMPT ✨ What am I being invited to notice, reconsider, and choose differently right now? You can write words, sentences, lists, or simply sit with the question. There’s no need to rush toward an answer. INVITATION If this episode felt supportive and you’d like a place to write in community, you’re invited to join the Writing Wild Society. #116: Winter Solstice Reflection

The winter solstice marks the shortest day and the longest night of the year. It’s a turning point in the season. It’s a pause that invites reflection, rest, and discernment. We’re noticing where your energy and attention have been going, what no longer deserves them, and what feels worth continuing as the light slowly returns. This is a writing session you can return to anytime you want to pause and reset during winter. WHAT WE’LL COVER: ✔ The meaning of the winter solstice as a turning point and return of light ✔ Why rest, reflection, and conservation of energy matter this time of year ✔ How darkness can support inner growth and clarity ✔ Guided journaling prompts to help you notice, choose, and continue intentionally ✔ A grounded way to mark the solstice without pressure or goal setting You’re invited to write honestly and without expectation. This session centers on the seasonal meaning of the winter solstice, honoring reflection, resilience, and the slow return of light. #115: Winter Magic Sessions | Creating Breathing Room For December Overwhelm

By mid-December, the season can start to feel heavier. Even when we begin with good intentions, this is when schedules fill up, expectations stack, and everything can start to feel more demanding. This episode is a chance to give yourself a pause. Winter Magic Sessions are seasonal writing sessions inside the Better Days Start Today podcast. They’re designed to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself during the winter season. In this session, we focus on creating breathing room. Not by fixing everything or adding more, but by slowing down long enough to notice where pressure can be released and where things can be simplified. This is a writing session you can return to anytime December feels full. WHAT WE’LL COVER: ✔ Why December often feels heavier as the season progresses ✔ How slowing down can create clarity and relief ✔ An oracle reflection centered on faith and inner strength ✔ Guided journaling prompts to help you simplify without guilt ✔ Small ways to create breathing room in your week You’re invited to write gently and honestly, without pressure or expectation. This session includes a reflection using the Animal Spirit Oracle by Lea Andronic. The card that came forward for this session is Tiger. The Tiger represents faith and inner strength. Tiger energy reminds us to listen to our instincts, stop overriding our inner guidance, and move through this season with steadiness. This reflection invites us to trust that slowing down is choosing what supports us most. WRITING PROMPTS: You’ll be guided through three questions, with space and music to write: ✨ Where does this season feel heavy for me right now? ✨ What can I simplify without guilt? ✨ What would help me breathe a little easier this week? Episode 114: Winter Magic Sessions | Reclaiming Your Intention

December has a way of picking up speed. Even when we begin the season with clear intentions, it is easy to get pulled into expectations, noise, and momentum. This episode is a pause. Winter Magic Sessions are seasonal writing sessions inside the Better Days Start Today podcast. They are designed to help you slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most during the winter season. In this session, we focus on reclaiming your intention. We’re not by fixing anything or planning the perfect season, but rather, we’re taking a few quiet minutes to choose again. This is a writing session you can return to anytime December feels full. WHAT WE’LL COVER: ✔ Why December often pulls us away from our original intentions ✔ How winter supports clarity through stillness rather than effort ✔ Using reflection and journaling to reconnect with what matters ✔ A seasonal oracle reflection to ground the session ✔ Prompts to help you realign without pressure You’ll be invited to write honestly and at your own pace. There is no right way to move through this session. This session includes a reflection using the Seasons of the Witch: Yule Oracle. 5. A Reading on Purpose

    11/06/2025

    A Reading on Purpose

Today's episode is a reading of my essay, A Reading on Purpose, inspired by The Great Work of Your Life by Stephen Cope. This reflection explores how clarity of action begins with clarity of identity and why the question isn't "What should I do?" but "Who am I right now?" Through the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, we'll unpack the idea that confusion about purpose is really confusion about self. When you return to who you are beneath roles, fear, and expectation, your next step becomes clear. This episode invites you to stop chasing your purpose and start expressing it. WHAT WE'LL COVER: ✔ Why confusion about purpose is really an identity crisis ✔ How to reconnect with your true self before deciding what's next ✔ The difference between push energy and pull energy ✔ How to act from alignment instead of pressure   🔥 Grab the free Reimagine Your Life Guide! It'll help you uncover possibilities for what's next and decide on your next step. CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD.   JOURNAL PROMPT: Where are you trying to figure out what to do before you've remembered who you are?   CHATGPT PROMPT: Act as an Identity Alignment Coach. I'm unsure about my next step in [describe situation]. Help me explore who I am in this season of life and what feels most authentic to me now. Ask five questions that reconnect me to my truth and intuition, then reflect back what you notice and suggest one small, values-based action I could take this week.   If this episode spoke to you, share it with a friend, and remember, better days start today.   This is a public episode. 6. The Patterns Behind How You Spend Your Energy

    10/16/2025

The Patterns Behind How You Spend Your Energy

Ever notice how you handle some things right away but ignore others completely? This episode will help you see what's really at play. We all have patterns that shape how we spend our energy and awareness of those patterns gives us choice. In this episode of Better Days Start Today, we're exploring the patterns that shape how you spend your energy, the ones that decide what gets your attention before you even realize it. You'll hear about the four common approaches we tend to use: avoidance, "it's not a problem until it's a problem," eat the frog, and feel it first, and how they tend to show up differently in relationships, health, work, and life decisions. This will help you notice your natural rhythm. Once you understand your default patterns, you can choose what gets your energy instead of reacting out of habit. That awareness is where self-trust and alignment begin. WHAT WE'LL COVER: ✔ How avoidance, action, and intuition all play a role in energy use ✔ Why your approach often shifts depending on the area of life ✔ How awareness (not fixing) leads to more aligned choices ✔ What it means to work with your rhythm instead of against it   🔥 Grab the free Reimagine Your Life Guide! It'll help you uncover possibilities for what's next and decide on your next step. CHATGPT PROMPT: "Act as a clarity coach. Help me explore where my energy is going right now,  emotionally, mentally, or physically. Ask me three questions to help me see which parts of my life deserve more attention, which need less, and what small shift I can make this week to use my energy more intentionally."   If this episode spoke to you, share it with a friend.   This is a public episode. 7. Why Letting Go Isn't Failure

    09/25/2025

    Why Letting Go Isn't Failure

In this episode of Better Days Start Today, I'm exploring the idea of letting go. It's a phrase we hear often, but what does it really mean? For me, it's less about giving up and more about releasing what no longer fits in this season of life. As the leaves change outside my window, I've been reflecting on how trees naturally release what's no longer serving them. And I've been asking myself: what am I still carrying that feels heavy? What would it look like to set it down and create space for something new? Letting go doesn't mean losing. It means choosing freedom, lightening your load, and making room for what matters most. WHAT WE'LL COVER: ✔️ Why letting go can feel like failure, and what it really means instead ✔️ How nature can guide us in learning to release ✔️ A simple ritual to symbolically let go of what's weighing you down ✔️ Journal prompts to help you reflect and lighten your load   JOURNALING PROMPTS: What am I carrying that feels heavy? Which expectations can I loosen my grip on? What would it feel like to not have this weighing on me anymore?   CHATGPT PROMPT: Copy this prompt and paste it into ChatGPT or your fave AI tool. Remember, the more context you provide about yourself and your situation, the more robust results you'll receive. "Act as a values-based decision coach. I've been holding onto [describe the burden, expectation, or story]. I want to explore what it would mean to let it go. Guide me through three reflective questions that help me see what's possible if I release it, and suggest one small ritual or action I can take today to practice letting go in a meaningful way."   🔥 Grab the free Reimagine Your Life Guide!
