As someone who just joined Matt’s blog (do it this month and you can get Mike as well for six months), I totally forgot to give a review. We have insiders who don’t themselves too seriously and interpret the NFL news for the fans. If you want to sample their written content, this show gives you a good primer.

This is one of my favorite football podcasts, and the only one I never miss. The balance between what Mike and Matt provide in analysis and their perspectives is very unique. Especially recommended if you're local to the Northeast, but everyone can enjoy!

I’ve followed Tanier across his many journalistic stops up to and including being a paying subscriber to his Substack because for my money he’s the best at blending, stats, humor, and common sense when analyzing the NFL. And now that I’ve gotten to know Lombardo, I appreciate his knowledge and his humanity. Yes, sometimes Matt can drop a too-obvious and obviously false take (the Jets are gonna take a step up next year???) and sometimes Mike can dig his head in the sand (the Patriots are schedule frauds!) but they balance each other out and this show is not about hot takes anyway; it’s about thoughtful, funny NFL discussion. And these guys have perspective that the NFL is just a game, not like typical self-important sports personalities. Listen to this podcast!
