Ep 91: The Well Diggers of Death Valley
When we discuss an invasive species on this show, the discussion turns to the distruction by that species on the environment. But, here is an animal that has become part of the food web,is saving other species from a warming climate by digging 5' water wells, and is now part of the very fabric of America's desert. Federal biologists are faced with some inconvenient data thanks to an out of the box scientist, and now they have to answer an ethical question as to what to do next with the Death Valley Donkeys.

Customer Reviews
Melissa is a wonderful story teller
The thing I enjoy so much about this podcast is how well Melissa does the research and packages the delivery in a way that is totally family friendly. The information and stories are filled with facts, but never boring or overwhelming. Sometimes a bit emotional. Most of the episodes are just the right length to keep my attention without going overboard like a textbook would. Highly recommend especially for anyone with kids/ young adults in the home who have an interest in amazing animal and people stories.
Fantastic
Entertaining, educational, and absolutely fun!
Emily Spinach!
