    99: Do You Have To Get Rid of STRESS To Be Free?

    Stress is a big root cause of chronic skin picking, hair pulling, and nail biting. With this in mind, a straightforward solution to being free from these behaviours would be: remove stress = FREEDOM! It's partly true but mostly a total lie and deeply unhelpful. Yes, there are probably some things in your life that cause unnecessary stress that you'd be better off removing... BUT, we cannot remove stress altogether and trying to do so only causes more of it. So what do we do? We turn inward. I can tell you that, without a doubt, my life is objectively more stressful than it was 5 years ago... and yet, 5 years ago I was in the throes of chronic skin picking. Not only do I now have 10x the responsibility and pressure, but I also love myself and enjoy my life 100x more.
