    What do we do when we keep praying and the answer seems slow to come? Terry and Justin explore how honest questions can coexist with faith, drawing on Habakkuk, Jacob, and Jesus in Gethsemane. Through personal stories of waiting and grief, they discuss bringing our questions to God, staying connected to others, and continuing to pray when God seems silent.

This week’s challenge: ask who is influencing you, then choose one person to intentionally encourage.

    When Faith Becomes Routine

    What happens when devotion becomes obligation? In Episode 6 of Beyond Sunday, Terry and Justin examine the difference between a healthy spiritual routine and faith that has become mechanical. Daniel prayed regularly, Jesus made time to pray and rest, and the early church developed rhythms of faith but routine was never meant to replace a living relationship with God. The danger comes when we keep doing the right things while our hearts drift from our first love. If your faith feels stagnant, you do not have to start over. Slow down, examine your heart, return to Christ, and put fuel on the embers so your faith can burn again. This week's practical challenges: Ask God to search your heart and reveal where devotion has become obligation. Choose one familiar spiritual practice and reconnect it to its purpose instead of going through the motions. Change the time, place, or approach of prayer or Bible reading to re-engage your attention. Take one active step of faith instead of only thinking about what you believe. Remember why you first loved Jesus, and chase him - not just the feeling.     Finding Your Place

    What if the place God has for you is closer than you think? In Episode 5 of Beyond Sunday, Terry and Justin explore how everyone can find a place in the body of Christ. This episode is an invitation to stop comparing, use what you have, and be faithful where God has placed you. You do not have to do everything. Use your existing abilities for God, encourage others through your example, and take the next step. This week's practical challenges: Ask where your gifts can meet a real need this week. Stop comparing your role with someone else's. Use one ordinary skill, resource, or opportunity to serve someone. Encourage someone younger through the example of your words and actions. Pray, “Wherever you place me, use me,” and act on the next opportunity you see.     Don't Quit

    What do you do when faith feels difficult and quitting starts to sound easier? In Episode 4 of Beyond Sunday, Terry and Justin explore a hard but hopeful truth: faithfulness is not perfection, and struggling is not failing. Looking at Elijah, David, Jacob, Peter, and other heroes of the faith, they discuss discouragement, doubt, and seasons when God feels distant, and why those seasons do not mean God has abandoned you. This episode is an invitation to keep going: stay in community, keep praying, remember what God has already carried you through, and focus on today's mile. You do not have to have everything figured out. Hold on to God while you wrestle, and make the decision to press on. This week's practical challenges: Tell someone you trust when you are struggling instead of isolating. Keep showing up, praying, and opening Scripture even when you do not feel like it. Remember specific times God has carried you through a hard season. Focus on today's mile rather than carrying tomorrow's fear today. It is about remaining faithful, encouraging others, and helping more people finish the race with Christ. Together, they explore how Christians can become encouragers instead of discouragers, celebrate other people’s victories, persevere through difficult days, and develop simple habits that keep God at the center of everyday life. This week’s practical challenges: Put God before the world by beginning your day with focused time in Scripture and prayer. Ask, “Who can I encourage today?” Then call, message, pray with that person. Find someone to serve. Replace complaining with gratitude. End the day by asking: “Where did I see God? Where did I fall short?
