My guest on this episode is Gavin James whose most recent appearance in Les Mis was as the Factory Foreman in the 2019 All Star Staged Concert. Prior to that he was in the West End cast for three years starting in 2008, was part of the 25th Anniversary concert at the O2, and even did vocals for the Les Mis movie!

Such an enjoyable podcast

I love that this podcast features Les mis casts members from various productions. It’s so enjoyable to listen to everyone’s experience and the differences even if they come from the same production. The interviewer asks engaging questions and feels like a conversation not just an interview. Look forward to more!

A Heart Full of Love from a Miserable Fan

Wow. I am blown away by these first two episodes! Spent the whole morning listening, amidst my college classes - a great way to brighten my Tuesday. Congratulations, Laura! Cannot wait for future episodes.

It’s so hard to just pick just one Les Mis memory. As a fellow superfan, I can’t go a day without talking to my friends I’ve made through this fandom, a majority of them being from different countries. This musical also helped inspire me to study in the field of activism.

One Mis memory I’ll never forget was witnessing Nick Cartell, Josh Davis, and Allison Guinn’s final tour performance. The sheer power and emotion that went into that performance was mind-blowing and goosebump-inducing! If anyone from the US Tour is listening to this or reading this, we love you, we miss you, and we can’t wait for you to come back!

(Speaking of the friendship aspect, I had been communicating with a fellow superfan who was going to be there at that same performance and without our even realizing it, we bumped into each other taking pictures at the front of the stage! We ended up stage-dooring together and are still friends to this day. That’s the power of Les Mis!)

P.S. - Is it “Mis” or “Miz?” :)
