He contributes to Bleacher Report and CNN.com, and blogs regularly at www.jeffpearlman.com. His new book Three Ring Circus covers the Lakers dynasty in the early 2000s. Jeff also gives great insight into coaching with stories on Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Doc Rivers, and Jimmie Johnson.

    Episode 5: Interview: Kelly Graves-Head Coach-University of Oregon

    In this episode, Coach McGraw and Coach Coleman interview Oregon Head Coach Kelly Graves who entered the 2019-20 campaign with a record of 124-52 in his previous five seasons with the Ducks and a 551-254 overall head coaching mark over 25 seasons, which includes three years at Big Bend CC. He is 506-214 all-time as a Div. I head coach, with stops at Saint Mary's, Gonzaga and Oregon. As a head coach, Graves has won 12 regular-season conference titles and reached the NCAA Tournament 11 times. In tournament play, he boasts one trip to the Final Four, four career trips to the Elite Eight, and six total Sweet 16 appearances. His teams have won 20-plus games in 12 of the last 13 seasons and 17 total times.

    Episode 3-Interview-Ryan McCarthy-Head Coach-University of Alaska Anchorage

    In this episode, we are excited to bring you a special guest appearance by Division 2 Head Coach Ryan McCarthy. The five-time GNAC Coach of the Year has taken the Alaska Anchorage program to unprecedented heights in his eight seasons, producing a 221-36 record and making the Seawolves annual title contenders. An Anchorage native, McCarthy last season improved his status as the winningest active coach in NCAA Div. II (.827, 235-49 in nine combined seasons), leading UAA to the best winning percentage in program history (.939) with a 31-2 record. Despite not featuring a single player among the NCAA top-50 stats leaders, the 2019-20 Seawolves also swept the Great Northwest Athletic Athletic Conference regular-season and tournament titles, finishing No. 4 in both national polls, landing McCarthy both the GNAC and NCAA West Region coach-of-the-year awards.
