    Worship in the Waiting

    This morning at Compass Worship we leaned into the idea that waiting on the Lord is expected, expectant, and intentional. We were able to worship, and learn this morning from the Word and an expended time of lifting our voices and hearts to the Lord as we surrendered and invited Him to move in our lives.     Just Tell Me Already Week 3

    This week at Compass Worship we were in week 3 of our "Just Tell Me Already" series. We focused in on the life of Jospeh and learned some important truths about God's will for our lives. WE saw that God is more concerned about who we are than He is where we go or what we do. He desires to shape us into being the right person in the right place at the right time for His right purposes. He also learned that God is always at work in our lives even in the dark. When we are feeling alone, betrayed, forgotten, our inexhaustible God is always working His plan out for the good of those who love Him.     Just Tell Me Already Week 2

    This week at Compass Worship we were in week 2 of our "Just Tell Me Already" series. We focused in on Psalm 37. We continued building on the foundational truth that God's will is more about who you are becoming than it is where you go or what you do. We learned this week that sometimes that means we find ourselves in a season of waiting. Waiting on the Lord is an active thing. We keep doing the right thing, right now as we dependently wait on the Lord trusting that His view is greater and His faithfulness is forever.     Just Tell Me Already Week 1

    This week at Compass Worship we began a 4 week series we are calling "Just Tell Me Already!" We are going to journey through scripture to see God's will and direction for our lives. This week we laid a foundational truth that God is much more concerned with who you are becoming than He is what you do or where you go. God longs to be with us and longs for us to simply trust that He has good plans and He is faithful in carrying them out if we will just trust and allow Him to lead us. We closed our time with the words of David from Psalm 25:4-5 and asked God to "Show us His way, teach us His path, and guide us in His Truth in every aspect of our lives in every day of our lives. When we embrace this mindset and heart posture we can have confidence that we are in the center of God's will. Listen in as Ian, Madison, Katie, Maya and Ellie share their takeaways from week 1.     This week at Compass Worship we were blessed to have Courtney Middlesworth teach us about Emmanuel. Throughout scripture we saw that God has always desired to be with us.     10:10 Life (Week 4)

    This week at Compass Worship we concluded our 10:10 Life series by focusing on the fullness of hope that is found when we anchor our lives to the life of Jesus, the cross and the resurrection of Jesus. We focused on the truth that Jesus is the only unshakeable hope that we have in this life, everything else that we try to put our hope in will ultimately fail us and leave us drifting. We looked at some of the promises of God and how the resurrection has solidified every one of those promise. When we believe know Jesus, view the cross correctly and embrace the truth of the resurrection we can trust that God can and will provide us everything we need to live a 10:10 Life.     This week at Compass Worship we continued our 10:10 Life series by focusing on the faithfulness of Jesus. We saw from beginning to end we can be confident that Jesus is faithful in His promises. We learned that we have been offered the most indescribable gift imaginable through the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus but it is up to us to receive it.     10:10 Life (Week 2)

    This week at Compass Worship we continued our 10:10 Life series by focusing on the power of Jesus. We saw through Paul and John the Baptist that a powerful life is a life acknowledges weakness. We learned that God's power is made perfect in our weakness therefore to display a fullness of God's power in our lives we need to make much of Jesus and less of ourselves. Since most of our students are home for break we have included this weeks teaching on the podcast followed by Ian, Jeff, Chanse, Kinley and Dara sharing their takeaways from the teaching .
