    In this episode we talk through some of the key responses of the church to the impact of the Carlie Kirk assassination. This includes a conversation on "sound bite" culture, the revival of the church, and what the responsibility of the church is in the midst of it all. We hit briefly on Trans ideology, but largely point people to a fantastic resource from a journalist who has spent a lot of time pointing people to the truth.     Gender Identity Part 1.

    We spend this entire episode diving into some of the complicated issues that surround the gender conversation in our culture. Drew outlines a biblical worldview of gender from Genesis and we discuss the biblical, scientific, and practical reasons why there are only 2 genders. We also spend time digging into what motivates people to embrace the worlds ideology of gender, how the church can respond, and what true equality of gender looks like in the church and in church leadership. This is part 1 of a 4 part mini-series on Gender Identity. We will be discussing topics like masculinely, femininity, and Trans with a heart to reveal how the church can respond to a increasingly confusing and disturbing gender conversation.     This podcast is an in-depth look at how we need to balance truth with love. It seems that church is triumphant in President Trump proclaiming two genders... but this brings other challenges and new opportunities. We discuss both. We will also address some challenging questions that Drew was recently asked at a pastors retreat in Butte, MT: How do we approach, live, and walk through life with a person, without making them feel condemned or shamed, in order to help them change their perception on LGBTQ+ and find their identity in Jesus rather than in their sexuality? In a discipleship relationship, what’s the line between letting the Holy Spirit convict of sin and urging out of a homosexual lifestyle?  How do we counsel a married gay couple?  Do they get a divorce? What if they have children?

Heading into the election, we need to have a conversation about how policy in politics affects our freedoms and daily life. We will discuss the policies around "conversion therapy," the trans ideology that permeates popular media and children's education, and the history of how all of the LGBTQ+ policies made their way into the political conversation.

    In a recent speaking engagement, a pastor brought up a very difficult and real life situation with Drew, one that is getting more and more common. The dialogue is seeking to help provide biblical wisdom for whether it is ok or even biblical to baptize a lesbian couple who asked to be baptized. Check out our hour long dialogue as we seek to unpack what baptism is and how we point to God's overwhelming grace and acceptance of us in spite of our own unreceptive messes.
