Very informative and engaging

As someone who is not in the medical industry, this podcast was an engaging and informative avenue to receive answers to questions raised recently in the media around bioethics regarding Covid-19. The moderator, David Skorton, asked relevant questions on the topic and the episode guests, Dr. Arthur Derse and Dr. Ross McKinney, did a really great job providing detailed (with limited medical jargon, which I appreciated) answers to the issues regarding ventilators in hospitals. The doctors also discussed the decision making process hospitals exercise when determining how a patient is treated. I look forward to future Beyond The White Coat podcasts as a differentiated source of information on Covid-19 given AAMC’s access to credible health care professionals in academic medicine at the forefront of our effort with this virus.

Interesting perspectives

During the time of the pandemic, it’s interesting to hear from people in the field about the difficult decisions facing doctors and others who work in hospitals.
