    God Revealed: Creation and Scripture

    What does creation tell us about God, and what happens when God speaks directly through His Word? In Psalm 19, David takes us on a remarkable journey from the heavens above us to the Word of God and finally to the condition of our own hearts. “The heavens declare the glory of God,” while the law, testimony, statutes, commandments, and judgments of the LORD reveal His truth, wisdom, and character.    In this episode, we explore three movements in Psalm 19: the creation that declares God's glory, the Word that reveals God's truth, and the response that transforms our lives. Creation points us toward the Creator, but Scripture gives us specific revelation about who God is and how He desires us to live. David's final prayer reminds us that God's revelation should lead to personal examination, repentance, obedience, and a desire for our words and thoughts to be acceptable before Him.    The encouragement of Psalm 19 is that God has not hidden Himself from us. He has revealed His glory through creation and His truth through Scripture.     Glory Above, Dominion Below

    Episode Overview What happens when we stop looking at ourselves and start looking at the greatness of God? Psalm 8 takes us on a remarkable journey from the glory of God revealed in creation to the surprising truth that the Creator is mindful of humanity. David looks at the heavens, the moon, and the stars and asks, “What is man, that thou art mindful of him?” Yet humanity's smallness does not mean insignificance. God created us in His image, crowned us with glory and honour, and entrusted us with responsibility over His creation. In this episode, we explore the three movements of Psalm 8: the majesty above, the humility within, and the dominion below. We consider what it means to recognize our worth as something given by God, to exercise responsibility as faithful stewards rather than owners, and to live with humility before our Creator. We also consider how Hebrews 2 ultimately points us toward Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of God's purposes revealed in Psalm 8.     Bound but Unchained

    Can chains stop the work of God?     Praise in Prison

    What happens when faithfulness to God leads to suffering instead of comfort? In this episode of Bible Bytes, we examine the imprisonment of Paul and Silas and discover what their experience teaches us about worship in suffering and gospel witness. After delivering a young woman from spiritual bondage, Paul and Silas were falsely accused, publicly beaten, and thrown into prison. Yet instead of responding with fear, anger, or despair, they chose to pray and sing praises to God. Together we’ll explore the events that led to their imprisonment, the remarkable worship that filled the prison at midnight, the miraculous intervention that followed, and the powerful testimony that ultimately led a Philippian jailer and his household to faith in Christ.     Imprisoned for Belonging to the Church

    What do you do when the situation seems hopeless and the outcome appears already decided?     Imprisoned for Conviction

    What happens when telling the truth costs you your freedom?
