Many 21st Century church services are more likely to entertain you than to teach and edify you in any meaningful kind of way. It isn't easy to find a church that is faithful to scripture, or faithful to God. And make no mistake, faithful churches breed faithful men. So here are 5 fundamental qualifications to look for in order to find a body of believers, and a Church that is faithful to the Word of God, and that will build you up into a strong, faithful man of God.     Episode 08: A Conversation about Sexual Purity with Bekah Berdy

    What's Up Guys! First things first, thanks for putting up with the inconsistency of this podcast! The wedding month has been a wee bit stressful but it was such a blessing to be able to plan and put together our own wedding, and coordinate all the parents and family coming into Tennessee here! Loved every second of it!  That said, I'm so glad to be back with you guys, having tough but important conversations about Christianity and Masculinity! Today's episode was an impromptu one. I just had a conversation with my wife Rebekah about sexual purity, and our journey through dating, how we did, how its going, that kind of thing. We decided to just kind of hit the record button and talk through some pain points in the dating process and the whole "not-having-sex" thing.  There's some really spicy info in here, and its a no holds barred, no punches pulled, full on transparency conversation between my wife and I on the topic of premarital sex. Whether you are married, dating, courting, or single, yes courting is still a thing, this episode will absolutely provide value for you. Cant wait to hear what you guys think! This being the first episode of a three-part series, were going to go over the fundamental characteristics that YOU should have in order to have a christ-centered, scripturally-based relationship.     Episode 3: Masculine Solitude

    Something that has always been beneficial for me has been a semi-regular pursuit of Solitude. For those of you who do not know me in person, I am an incredibly anxious individual. It's one of my biggest faults, because it means that I struggle with letting go, submitting FULLY, and trusting Jesus.  The best way that I've been able to combat this particular issue in my life is actively and proactively seeking solitude, and I'm not the only one to find solace in it. It's prescribed biblically throughout the old and new testament when you look at the actions and contexts of some of the heaviest hitters in all of Biblical Scripture.   That's what Episode 3 is all about, gentlemen. What does God say about solitude, when did the great men of Scripture seek solitude, and what was the outcome.  Hope you guys enjoy the podcast. We are going to be discussing the topic of Solitude in The Forge, our private Facebook group, so if you guys arent a part of that, I would highly recommend you join up. On this podcast, I go over hypotheticals and actionable intel, but if all we do is internalize the message but we don't actually act on it, you're just deceiving yourself in the interest of satisfying the guilt of not being the man you know you ought to be. I'm not equating my own words to Scripture, by any means, but James 1:22 says:  But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." Apply the knowledge. Apply the scripture. Be the man you were always meant to be.
