Christ confronted their mistake as He revealed that they did not know the Scriptures nor the power of God. In this lesson, Jesus teaches us how to apply the Scriptures written long ago as though written to us today and Jesus revealed how the very tense of a word proves that God is the God of the living including those who passed away and who will resurrect on the last day.
