SGA Flopping Debate | OKC vs Spurs | NIL Is Out of Control

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: flopper or genius? There's a real conversation about what flopping does to the integrity of playoff basketball. Is SGA a surgeon who found the exact edge of the rulebook, or is he undermining the product? We go both sides, stat-backed, no hedging. Wembanyama put up 41, 24, and two overtime periods in Game 1. OKC answered with 76 bench points in Game 3. The Thunder lead the Western Conference Finals 2-1 and the series hinges on whether Wemby can carry San Antonio alone. We break down the depth gap killing the Spurs and what Game 4 actually means for this series. Plus: college sports NIL spending is completely out of control. Football rosters are pushing $50 million. Athletic directors are calling it sustainable with a straight face. We break down who wins, who loses, and what gets cut when the bill comes due. Subscribe so you never miss an episode. Knicks Eastern Conf Finals: Is Cleveland Dead? | Tatis Raleigh Devers Slumping | Colt Emerson Arrives

The New York Knicks are rolling into the Eastern Conference Finals against a Cleveland team that just played two seven-game series. We break down why New York's plus -19.8 net rating makes this Eastern Conference Final feel less like a series and more like a formality. Then the West Coast superstar slump report: Fernando Tatis Jr. has gone 46 games without a home run, Cal Raleigh is hitting .161, and Rafael Devers is nowhere near the player San Francisco paid for. Plus, 20-year-old Colt Emerson makes his MLB debut for Seattle after signing the largest pre-service extension in baseball history. JP Crawford is a free agent after 2026. The clock is ticking. Also on the show: the next number one MLB Draft pick nobody is talking about, a live Spurs vs OKC update, and Ben went geoduck hunting. Sharp takes. West Coast bias. Backed by data. NFL Hardest and Easiest Schedules 2026 | Wemby vs. SGA Western Conference Finals | Lane Kiffin Is College Football's Draymond Green

The NFL schedule is out and the biggest story is not the marquee matchups -- it is who drew the toughest road. The Bengals could get a home field advantage for the playoffs while Miami Dolphins could open the season 0-5 with a brutal five-game stretch that includes trips to Vegas, San Francisco, Kansas City, and Minnesota. Meanwhile the San Francisco 49ers open Week 1 against the Rams in Melbourne, Australia on Netflix, and the Seahawks get a Christmas Day NFC West showdown against LA. Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are heading to the Western Conference Finals. Now the most anticipated conference finals matchup in years is set: Wembanyama vs. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Spurs vs. Thunder, the future of the NBA on one side of the bracket. Also, Lane Kiffin is not a villain and not a genius. He is college football's Draymond Green, and the attention is the whole strategy. Your West Coast Source For Sports. LeBron's Last Run? | Trade Mike Trout Now | NCAA Kills the Cinderella

LeBron James is 41 years old, OKC just went up 2-0, and the question everybody in LA is already asking out loud: is this the last playoff run of his career? We break down why the Thunder are winning this series in five and what that means for the Lakers going forward. The refs heard the Lakers. Game 3 or Game 4 goes LA. And it still doesn't matter, Thunder in five. Then we get into Mike Trout, who is posting a 1.000 OPS and 11 home runs for a 15-23 Angels team, and why this may be the last real window to trade the greatest West Coast player of his generation before loyalty becomes a cautionary tale. Plus the NCAA just expanded the tournament to 76 teams, and we'll tell you exactly who this was built for (hint: it wasn't Gonzaga). Sharp takes, West Coast bias, backed by data. Anthony Edwards Steal Game 1 From Wemby | Luka's Out, OKC's In | A's Are Actually For Real?

Anthony Edwards is active. Victor Wembanyama is ready. And the Western Conference Semifinals are officially here. This week on Big Ben & K Winn, we break down whether a banged-up Ant can keep the Wolves competitive against the deepest roster in basketball, and whether this is the round Wemby becomes a certified playoff closer.  Then we flip to the Lakers: Luka Doncic is out, LeBron is being asked to carry Hollywood against the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder, and the question isn't if OKC wins the series, it's whether the Lakers can stay alive long enough for Luka to walk back in. Plus, the Sacramento Athletics are in first place in the AL West and Nick Kurtz is chasing history. His walk streak is not a fluke. It's 98th-percentile bat speed backed by elite plate discipline, and this young core is starting to look like a real contender.  Sharp takes, West Coast bias, backed by data this is your West Coast source for sports. Wemby's Spurs Are the New Favorites | OKC's Boring Dynasty | 49ers Super Bowl Window | SF Giants April Blues

The debate is no longer whether Victor Wembanyama is ready for the playoffs. The debate is whether the Spurs are now the most dangerous team in the Western Conference and the only real threat to an OKC repeat. Speaking of OKC, the Oklahoma City Thunder are once again the No. 1 seed, defending champions, and the best team in the West. They're also the most under discussed dynasty in modern sports. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is playing at an MVP level, the bench is the best in the postseason, and somehow nobody seems that interested. We get into whether OKC is the most boring great team in NBA history  and what a potential Wemby vs. SGA western conference finals matchup would mean for the West. On the NFL side, the San Francisco 49ers had a draft. Trent Williams got a two-year, $50 million extension that keeps him through age 40. The team traded down from 27 to 33 and took Ole Miss wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling. Brandon Aiyuk is still technically on the roster. We ask the question every 49ers fan is quietly asking: is the Super Bowl window still open, or did it close somewhere between the 2025 season and right now? And the San Francisco Giants are 13-15 while the Dodgers are sitting at 19-9. The NL West is already a problem. We have the Tony Vitello quote of the month, the bright spots in the rotation, and the honest conversation about whether this is just April or the beginning of a longer issue. Wemby Makes History | Rams Draft Dilemma at 13 | Mendoza Franchise QB? | NBA Playoff Banter

Victor Wembanyama just made history as the first unanimous Defensive Player of the Year in NBA history, and the real debate starts now: does a 22-year-old need a resume before we hand him the crown, or is the eye test already enough to call him the best player on the planet?  We dig into what Wemby still needs to clear, where he stacks up against SGA and Jokic, and why his 35-point playoff debut says everything about where the Spurs are headed.  Then we shift to the NFL Draft, breaking down whether Fernando Mendoza is a franchise altering QB for the Raiders or closer to a Matt Ryan situation once NFL defenses see him under center for the first time. The Los Angeles Rams are on the clock at 13 and Kyle and Ben go deep on the WR landscape, Puka Nacua's contract situation, and whether Les Snead should trade up or trust the board to deliver.  CHAPTERS: 0:00 Cold Open: Kalshi, Prediction Markets & Wemby's History 1:17 Wemby Best Player In The World? 8:06 NBA Playoff Banter 9:50 Hawks Beat Knicks + Kuminga’s New Start 13:03 Orlando Magic Pull Off The Upset? 16:35 San Antiono Road Trip 17:09 Kalshi Craze 19:31 Mendoza A Franchise QB? 26:40 Rams Pick #13: WR or Best Available? 32:00 Big Ben Drops a Ball at the Mariners Game 34:20 Outro Mariners Struggles 34:55 Outro Bangers   🔔 Subscribe and hit the bell so you never miss an episode.  🎙️ Listen on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and iHeart Radio.   Click to subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@bigbenkwinn_      Follow us on Social Media: https://www.instagram.com/bigbenkwinn_    https://www.tiktok.com/@bigbenkwinn_  https://x.com/bigbenkwinn_?s=21  https://www.threads.net/@bigbenkwinn_  https://discord.gg/BCqZduTD    Got feedback? Warriors Dynasty Done? | Jail Blazers Doc Review | Wemby's Playoff Debut

The NBA playoffs are here and the first stress test is already brutal. The Golden State Warriors' season ended Friday night in the play-in tournament, falling to the Phoenix Suns 111-96. Steph Curry went 4-for-16. Draymond Green got ejected. Steve Kerr's future is uncertain.  We break down whether the Warriors dynasty is officially over or if one bold offseason move can buy Curry one more run. Then we shift to the Western Conference's most intriguing first-round story: can Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs survive the playoffs with the youngest roster in the West? Wemby is putting up 25.0 PPG, 11.5 RPG, and 3.1 BPG at 22 years old, surrounded by players with zero playoff experience. Is this how dynasties are born, or is youth about to get exposed? Plus we break down the Netflix "Untold: Jail Blazers" documentary. The early 2000s Portland Trail Blazers had the talent to compete for a championship and imploded anyway. Rasheed Wallace, Damon Stoudamire, Bonzi Wells. Was the "Jail Blazers" label fair, or did a complicated story get flattened into a headline? 26 years later, the doc is making people ask the question again. Big Ben and K Winn. Sharp takes.
