    Big Plate Gaming Podcast - Episode 46 - Old men and old games

    Russ has disappeared off on a particularly tricky side quest this month so Andy and Warren are holding the fort. Warren has gone full retro recently and has been putting some serious time in some classics from the GameCube, PS2 and original Xbox. Essentially, if it doesn't have a glossy instruction manual in the box, he's not interested anymore.   Andy is back from his travels having been so desperate to play some video games, he resorted to the screen on the back of an aeroplane seat! Perhaps it is time to just pay the money for a Switch 2.    In gaming news more recent that 2004, the boys also discuss Forza Horizon 6, Mixtape and the upcoming release of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced.

    Big Plate Gaming Podcast - Episode 45 - Portable Gaming Parent!

    Happy Easter from the BPG trio with a pick up and play episode focused on the PlayStation Portal. Have people overlooked this little pocket rocket or is it just an Nvidia Shield with some fancy clothes on?   This month we've been playing a bit of Warhammer 40000: Space Marine 2 for some hack and slash goodness and discuss what to make of Crimson Desert. Can patches save it or is it doomed for the CEX bargain basement by summer?   We also take a retro look at some of the best and weirdest peripherals of our childhood and reminisce about developing repetitive strain injury for much more innocent reasons.

    Big Plate Gaming Podcast Episode 44 - Russ's audio is still rubbish!!

    The great return continues as Andy, Warren and Russ deliver another slice of the gamer dad life for your listening pleasure. Middle age is taking its toll as the random injuries start to creep in but the plus side of being laid up is some actual gaming time!   Russ is stuck in an eternal loop of painfully watching his child play the same 20 minutes of a Lego game on repeat and Warren goes balls deep on a 7 year old game because that is just the BPG way. Andy tries to buck the trend by playing something that was actually released this year and gets very excited about the upcoming releases of Crimson Desert and Resident Evil Requiem.

    Big Plate Gaming Podcast Episode 43 - The Return!!

    In the words of LL Cool J, don't call it a comeback! Well actually, please do because that is exactly what it is! Andy, Russ and Warren make their long awaited return as Big Plate Gaming!   What was supposed to be nipping out for a quick toilet break turned into a 3 year hiatus but the boys have answered the call and got the pod back online. They're a few years older but none the wiser and still just playing what they want rather than what a shouty 20 something on YouTube says is a good game.   With such a long break, there is so much to talk about but rest assured it will lack structure, cohesion and any factual gaming knowledge! It is the middle aged gamer Dad nonsense you loved before with just the grey hair and random aches and pains DLC downloaded for good measure.   Embrace the return. BPG is back!
