Open you eyes and heat!

Bill and Odell have the most interesting topics with outstanding people. They open you mine to see that there is a common ground that everyone can meet on. You can have your own views, but still agree with other people’s views. Anything can be talked through if you are respectful of other’s views.

Bisexual pastor conversation

Here’s the recap on the conversation with the bisexual pastor. He says that God made him with these desires and to be true to his deepest self and to God he needs to live those desires out. Bill and Odell basically agree and proceed to say that to love is to never question someone’s decisions on sex. Anyone who doesn’t affirm the gay etc lifestyle is hateful and stuck in the past and will eventually come around when their son or daughter comes out.
Since finding common ground requires someone somewhere disagreeing.. why not?

1. Does Jesus not tell us what marriage is in Matthew 19? Two people only, male and female only, together not to be separated? I know this might not matter to a non religious person, but you all are bringing God into this, does His Word not get at least a mention?
2. My SSA friends who are seeking to live a celibate lifestyle in order to love Christ with their whole life, are hearing from this that they are actually living a sinful lifestyle since they are not being true to who God “created them to be”. Do you really want to stand before God having turned someone back from the holy pursuit of Jesus into following the flesh?
3. And a broader point that might matter to the none religious listener too. This conversation feels like it’s about two decades old. If the only loving response to someone’s lifestyle choice is GO FOR IT, what about the trans kid getting a life altering surgery. What about the child sex abuser. What about the person who wants to identify as an animal or whale or whatever. What about the rest of us who would be trapped in all kinds of sexual addictions but for the Grace of God?
A great question for the bisexual pastor that never got asked is “ is there such a thing as sexual sin.”
Col. 3 : Since then you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above where Christ is, …For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God…. Put to death therefore whatever belongs to your earthly nature.

I love you all!
