Sleep in peace

For a long time I was reluctant to listen to these at night, as Bill suggests, afraid I wouldn’t be able to sleep or would have nightmares. Oh no, not so! I find them so soothing and calm I fall asleep while listening. So far I have started each episode but am asleep before it ends. Since the pandemic I have had trouble sleeping and tried prayer, meditation, progressive muscle relaxation, melatonin and music to help with sleep. I highly recommend Gothic Goodnight. It’s a paradox.

My favorite podcast

I absolutely love Gothic Goodnight. The way Bill Oberst, Jr. introduces each story, pausing and calling on us to listen, opens the mind and allows the terror from the tale to flow straight into your brain. I look forward to each new episode, where I get to visit a world untouched by time, drifting away in the dark to the sound of Bill’s voice. If you’ve ever wanted a bedtime story as an adult, do yourself a favor and check this one out.
