Returning champion Anthony Oliveira is here to chat about, well, so many things. For starters, he wrote Captain Marvel: Assault on Eden, giving us an excuse to chat about COMICS. Also, his book, Dayspring, is coming out! We chat about other podcasts Sara and Anthony have guested on, why Paradise Lost is a very metal book, and, you guessed it, the many lives of Carol Danvers. Join us!

Episode 176: Not THE Beginning but A Beginning

Episode 176: Not THE Beginning but A Beginning

Sara and Arturo Rojas met via the great Graymalkin Lane podcast talking about the X-Men. At one point during a recording, they discovered that they both enjoy the Wheel of Time TV series, which led to this extraordinary episode. Arturo knows a ton about this franchise having read the whole series from beginning to end three whole times, so he's got plenty to say about it. Sara is along for the ride as an enthusiast who has read the first book and watched the show.
Follow Arturo Rojas on Twitter or Instagram!
For more Wheel of Time observations, check out the Tar Valon or Bust podcast featuring Preeti and Jenn.
I dunno, buy Sara's book of short horror stories while you're at it!

Episode 175: A Very Tenacious Drive

The great Sarah Kuhn has joined us for our first episode of 2024! Sarah's work runs the gamut, so this is an abridged conversation because there is SO MUCH to chat about! We focus on the new one-shot Darkling, released through Archie Comics. However, there's a lot of info on Kuhn's other works, including her forays into Star Wars and DC, alongside her creator-owned pieces. This is one of our favorite creators, so it's a very fun chat. Join us!

    Episode 174: Winter Horror Extravaganza

    Episode 174: Winter Horror Extravaganza

We're here for our semi-regular horror movie extravaganza. This time around, we're joined by Priya, Kate, Sara, and Monika, and each of them has brought a film to discuss. First up, Black Christmas and abortion rights, second we discuss the horror camp spectacular that is Death Bed (the Bed That Eats), then we get into the allegory and sick werewolf transformations of The Company of Wolves, and, finally, the new queer werewolf film My Animal, which is also very fun and weird.

Episode 173: Once it's out there, it's out there

It's that time again, time for a new episode of Bitches On Comics! This edition we're featuring Archie Bongiovanni, creator of Greasebats, A Quick and Easy Guide to They/Them Pronouns, Yes I'm Flagging, and, most importantly to this call, Mimosa. Archie is a return guest and we couldn't be more thrilled to have them back on. We discuss the importance of zines to queer communities, what to do when your found family can't stay together anymore, and how to show up in your community in a meaningful way. Archie is a lot of fun, so enjoy this one and we'll be back again soon!
Pick up Mimosa via publisher Abrams Books!
Follow Archie at their website, or perhaps on Instagram!

Episode 172: A conscious act to believe in something better

Welcome back to good ol' Bitches On Comics with this exciting episode featuring LSBN cartoonist Emma Jayne! This episode also features guest host and former BoC guest, Veronique Emma Houxbois. Here, we discuss Jayne's incredible work and how making relatively optimistic art can be just as healing for the creator as it is for the reader. Mostly, we chat about her process, and her newest release, LSBN, which is published through podcast faves Silver Sprocket.
Pick up LSBN at the great Silver Sprocket shop! Trans Girls Hit the Town and other works of Emma's genius are available at her online shop.

John Klein III ,

One of my favorite podcasts!

From uncanny conversations about the X-Men to tubular conversations about Ninja Turtles, the best Christmas episodes to even better Halloween episodes, this podcast has something for everyone.
What I appreciate the most is hearing voices from people I should be hearing more from.
The entire team is amazing : Sara, SE, Monika, and Kate.
