If you aren't familiar with Human Design, it is basically a super-system that can be used as a roadmap for guidance on how to use your energy as well as just general aspects of your identity that may make you feel more seen than ever before.     Facing the Grief

    Grieving during the holidays was definitely not what I expected—it was definitely much more difficult than I anticipated. But we did it. We made it through. (Not without kicking and screaming and numbing—but we did it nevertheless). I didn’t want this podcast to focus on grieving and sadness, but I have to be honest about where I am, so this episode is just a little update about where I am at on my journey of losing a parent, the “mistakes” I’ve made through the process, and what adjustments I am making to move forward with healthier coping mechanisms. Being patient with myself is not something that comes naturally to me, so if you’re like me, I want to encourage you to give yourself a little more space to be a human. And to remember that we can hold two emotions at once—the sadness we feel about our loss, and the inevitable happiness that we will feel again because we are still here. We are still moving forward, and I think we are actually honoring our loved ones by not giving up, but continuing to find joy in the moments that we can.     A Year in the Life

    As I looked back through my year, I wanted to give as much focus (if not more) to the good times as I did the “bad.” And as difficult as this year was, I had so many positive aspects to focus on. I give a difficult update that I have been avoiding sharing, but I didn’t want it to be the focus of the episode—not this one at least. And I want to thank all of you for being so supportive.     If My Dream Life Was a Snake, It Would’ve Bitten Me

    This week’s episode covers a wide range of emotions as I update you on the good and bad of what’s been going on with me lately—but the overall theme that I want you guys to take from this episode is that when we focus on the good, it carries us through the difficulties that we are facing. I want to give a little trigger warning here, because I do discuss some pretty heavy topics, but again—I want the focus to be on the idea that our dream life could be happening RIGHT NOW and if we don’t tune into it, we could miss it. I want to thank all of you guys for your continued support as I navigate this difficult time in my life. And I want to really emphasize that despite it being one of the hardest things I have ever gone through, I have also been overwhelmed by the beauty of my life. I have made the decision to ACTIVELY focus on the positive and the beauty, but also remind you that it’s okay if you are going through something right now that feels too heavy to see the bright side. Grief is such a roller coaster of emotions, and I have definitely had really dark days where it doesn’t feel like I have anything to be joyful about; but again I want to encourage you to find even the smallest flicker of joy and send all of your energy and awareness to that and allow yourself to be amazed by how your life will change.     Vulnerability: Binge or Cringe
