    We are back!  Welcome to the first episode of season 4. This season is hosted by Sophia (BDS 4) and Chyanne (BDS 2) - dental students from the University of Manchester.  In this episode, we are very lucky to be speaking with our very own MPDSS committee members and dental students from the University of Manchester - Rachel (BDS 5), Aryan (BDS 5) and Ishmyne (BDS 4). Over the summer they visited Kenya to implement DiPS (Dentistry in Primary Schools) in the local area.  In this episode we cover the following: What is DiPS? How were the DiPS sessions tailored for an international audience in Kenya? Differences between children’s oral health in the UK and Kenya?     Hi guys! Welcome to the first episode of season 3! This season is hosted by Chloe (BDS3) and Sophia (BDS2) - dental students from the University of Manchester. In this episode, we had the pleasure of talking to Raphaella Rookes (BSc) - a Paediatric Dietitian with 12 years of experience. She is also the Professional and Clinical Lead for the Nutrition and Dietetic service, at an NHS trust in the South West. Raph is the founder of “Latch to Ladle” – a bespoke paediatric nutrition company for infants, toddlers and children. This episode we answer the following questions: - What is weaning? - What age should weaning start? - What are the different approaches to weaning and which is correct? - Does teething affect the weaning process? - When should you introduce open cups? - Can infants safely wean to a vegan diet?     Hi guys! Welcome to the final episode of season 3! This season is hosted by Yasmin (BDS3) and Chloe (BDS2) - dental students from the University of Manchester. Today we have TWO clinicians for your listening pleasure. - Dr Greig Taylor is a Paediatric Specialist as well as an NIHR Doctoral Research fellow. We also have Dr. Richard Holliday who is a Consultant in Restorative Dentistry with a focus on translational research: some of his areas of expertise include smoking, tobacco, nicotine and e-cigarettes. This episode we answer the following questions: - Does vaping affect the oral cavity? - Why do young people vape? - Are there signs that a paediatric patient might us an e-cigarette? - How do you tackle the topic of vaping with paediatric patients and parents?
