    To paraphrase Trump, if the United States fails to punish violent insurrectionists, it will no longer have a country, definitely not a Democracy. Trump must be prosecuted for treason by the DOJ, and if convicted, should get the Death Penalty. That's how respectable nations deal with Traitors. The Senate trial must halt in order to allow the Justice Department to prosecute. Senate Republicans will sadly acquit (They Hate 🇺🇸), which would the trigger double jeopardy, preventing the DOJ from prosecuting Trump. This would sad and extremely dangerous to American Democracy and the Rule of Law. Punish Donald Trump to prevent a shadow government that can attempt Coup whenever it wants. GOP is now Trump's party.     The Coup attempt by United State president Donald Trump was an attempt by White supremacists to take over the United States government.  The Trump MAGAS were attempting to stop the peaceful transfer of power by Violence in order to install their candidate Donald Trump, who just lost the presidential race to Joe Biden by a "landslide" per Trump's standard.  For weeks, the insurrection had be publicized, yet law enforcement 'stood down, and stood back as the terrorists took over the United States Capitol, while a joint session of Congress was working to certify the election results.  Additionally, the only three people in the presidential line of succession were in the Capitol (Pence, Pelosi, and Grassly); had they all been harmed, along with members of Congress, Trump could've declared Martial Law, invalidate the election, and remain in Power indefinitely.  It was an authoritarian move, to wit, a Coup D'Etat in order to take over the United State of America government by force.  That is Treason.   Donald Trump should arrested, charged, tried, convicted, and Executed for his crimes.  Which there are many. ------------------------------------ Need a Lawyer?  Get a free consultation from my affiliate - click here.
