Good Morning Nashville ☀️ We are blessed and excited to be a part of you guys day today, and continually want to thank you for supporting our show as we aim to change the narrative behind black men one episode at a time. Got a good one for you guys today, so let’s lock in! You cannot be from Nashville, Tenneseee and not know who this brother is that we have as a guest today. For the second time, he has graced our platform and he’s came back with a children’s book! Not just any children’s book, but a book that will teach kids all over the world what resilience and strength is all about even at their young age(s). 📖 We present to some and introduce to others, motivational speaker, author, graduate of Vanderbilt University, and a true mental health advocate … our good friend and brother, Mr. Reggie Ford. ✌🏽 Reggie comes to the platform to introduce to us his book titled “I Am The Rose.” 🌹 “I Am the Rose by Reggie D. Ford is a children's book about a quiet boy who learns resilience and self-worth by observing a rose growing through concrete, inspired by his grandmother's guidance.” Not only do we get into the book itself, but we talk about its foundation and where the idea came from. Reggie pays homage to his late grandmother, and talks heavily about her influence in his life. He also vents with us about how for a long period of time, he was so self reliant that it became detrimental to his health. Like most black men … we don’t ask for help, because it presents a sign of weakness or lack of knowledge. But with time, Reggie has found various ways through therapy to navigate his emotions in such a way, that he tells his story on stages all over the nation … challenging men to be vulnerable and give themselves grace daily. It’s a lot to unpack with this episode, including new debuted music from Nashville artist Sydnei Jeanne ⭐️ , as we get into a variety of subjects and topics with our guy Reggie that you surely will enjoy. It truly is a blessing to have you guys support what we do, who we are, and how we advocate for men and mental health with our platform. Whether you’re black or white, we have embraced all men on our platform understanding that mental health is bigger than color. And it is our weekly goal to ensure that we are providing a safe space for these men to share their story, so that we gain various lived experiences and perspective on how to better handle those mental things we deal with each and every day 🙏🏽 LET’S LOCK IN ON TODAY’S EPISODE ‼️ Did you guys know that in Nashville, we have our very own ABA Team? Take some time to lock in on our segment break in today’s episode, where we give you guys a little history lesson behind the ABA, and how the ABA was a catalyst to what the NBA is today. The Nashville Aces ♠️ represent as our ABA team and we could be more than excited to have a brother that surely has a big hand behind the team being developed to what it is today. Following our platform means you know that we advocate for black men and mental health, but we never shun or dismiss an opportunity to bring a brother on the show of a different race/ethnicity. With that being said, we’re excited to introduce to you guys our white ✌🏻 brother and friend, Mr. Duncan McClure ⭐️ Duncan comes to the show to vent a bout a lot of subjects that can be related to by any man. One thing he discusses with us, is the culture of entrepreneurship and how important it is to be consistent. “There is no short cut in consistency.” It is so important to embrace the journey, before getting to the destination. Duncan talks about how often times we try to “cheat” our way to the top, and how you dismiss the experiences that come with adversity. In August of 2025, Duncan vents with us about a moment in his life … that changed his life. It brought adversity, doubt, depression, and more, but to see him walking today based off his story … is nothing short of a miracle. We are excited to say that today’s guest is a native of West Tennessee! He comes to our show virtually, so be sure to get your volume just right to hear the show. Let’s get into today’s podcast, this one for sure is a good one! 😎 Presenting to some and introducing to others our good friend and brother, Mr. Erin Reid ⭐️ Erin wears a lot of hats in his day-to-day life, one of them being that he is the founder of an independent sports company specializing in the wholesome development of the next generation of athletes. That company is known nationwide as USATOP100, which has served communities and families across the country for the last 7 years. Outside of that, Mr. Reid enjoys being a father, and vents with us about what fatherhood means to him. He stated, “You can’t make a 100% in fatherhood … I am just trying to get a passing grade.” This statement is louder than you probably can hear, as it speaks to the hidden feeling most men have behind being a father. Never really knowing if you’re doing it “right”, and just having that cloud of insecurity really can be overbearing mentally. Eric vents about how his children have seen the sacrifice; he talks about a time where business was placed over family, due to the grind men get trapped in often times unconsciously. It’s a lot to unpack in today’s episode, but we know you’re going to love this one for sure.
