I resonate with this season finale so much! Communicating and discussing with our family is so disheartening and unfortunate. I appreciate both of your work and efforts in keeping the discussion going and continuing to find patience in those discussions. You guys continue to put yourselves in such a vulnerable position for the benefit of those you are teaching. I appreciate you and I love you.
Racism is different packaging

This show is a nonstop flow of anal leakage. It’s literally just old fashioned racism hit with a dash of NeoMarxist class theory and dressed up in social justice packaging. These people do nothing but spew hate and incite racial division while cosplaying as activists
Amazing!

This podcast is...AMAZING! I’m only through the first season so far, but I can’t get enough. The action items at the end are very helpful. Thank you for making this.
Great Episode!

Your guest was an amazing voice of empowerment for Black women, particularly Black writers, poets and performers. I was enthralled by her story. And her reading of her poem “I Can’t Breathe”? Profoundly moving, emotional and powerful. I love Jessica Care Moore.
Thanks for the awesome education

I keep finding myself coming to this podcast while I cook or work with my hands at home. I keep finding myself laughing, cringing, nodding my head, shaking my head, agreeing, reassessing, feeling challenged, feeling connected. That’s a lot from one podcast!
They keep it Real

I love the way April and Johnathan bring really relevant and personal topics to each episode. I love how they honor each other whether they agree or disagree. My knowledge and understanding, as a white woman, about my whiteness has been a real benefit to my life. I think what captivated me to listening to this podcast was the fact that they are from a biracial family. As a mother of biracial children, Indian American and white, I understand while their experience is different than my children, I feel I have a lot to learn and understanding. I will never be able to walk in their shoes. Thank you April and Jonathan for another great season of Black&! Sarah N
Unfortunately, much needed.

This show is no nonsense, informative, and above all, powerful. As a non-Black Chicana, this show helps me to reflect on the I uphold white supremacy. I've learned Anti-racism is a lifelong process, and so I am glad I have resources-such as this show-to keep me accountable. Thank you so much for your show!
