Hey guys, Avid Listener here
When I first heard of Blackmail Material, I believed it was going to be a safe space for three millennial workforce contributors to make idle threats and politically incorrect jokes under the guise of EDGINESS. As it turns out, I was wrong. These dudes don’t live up to the name of the podcast, but I’m not mad they don’t. What we get instead is a look into the life of three young men whose hands are firmly on the pulse of the Reddit Generation.
These three young men are David, Kevin and Jack. Kevin is the joke man. He’s got a knack for coming up with wacky scenarios and hypotheticals centered around the topics of the day. 95% of his jokes include some sort of Uber reference, so if you got an affinity for rideshare comedy, then he’s your guy. David is your opinions guy. Whether it’s politics, film, or furnace parties in Philadelphia, he’s always got something to say (unless it’s about working out, in which case, he’s got nothin’). He might ruffle your feathers here and there, but he’s the opinions guy — that’s what he’s there for. Finally, there’s Jack: the straight man. He’s usually the first voice you hear on Blackmail Material and the one that guides the boys through the show. He only delivers hot takes when he absolutely certain he can, which can make him seem boring to some. Still, count on him to provide helpful context in certain discussions, which is vital to the show. Also, he says “we” a lot in his stories, usually in reference to his girlfriend. That’s awesome to hear because if a boring dude like him can get himself a boo, then we all can!
In conclusion, I gave Blackmail Material 5 stars not because it’s the perfect podcast, but because I know how this iTunes algorithm works; anything below 5 stars is basically a punch to the family jewels. I like these dudes and I think more people should listen to them. I’m sure there are many Reddit boiz that will connect with this bunch.
