Police, Sacred Fire and the Fight to Save the Goori Tent Embassy at Barrambin

In this urgent follow-up episode of Blak Justice, we return to Victoria Park, Barrambin, where the Goori Tent Embassy has been resisting the Queensland Government’s push to begin work on the new Olympic stadium. After police, council workers and authorities moved in to disrupt the Tent Embassy on Friday 29 May 2026, tents were removed, activists were moved on, and the Embassy’s sacred fire was disturbed. The state calls it progress. The people defending Country call it a human rights fight. On this episode of Blak Justice, I spoke with respected activist Uncle Adrian Burragubba at the Embassy as police moved in, about cultural rights, police power, the sacred fire, and why the fight to protect Barrambin is far from over. The Goori Tent Embassy is still standing. The sacred fire is still burning. And Blak justice is still going strong.
