A Stylist and Creative Entrepreneur’s Journey

    Welcome to Blazon
As a creative sometimes you follow the path that appears in front of you... some creatives though carve their own path through sheer determination and clear intentions; creating a journey filled with experimentation, adventure, hope, inclusion, joy, determination and everything in between.
In this episode we talk to Rhona Ezuma who gives us an insight into carving such a path, talking to us not only about her journey as a stylist, but also founding an independent magazine that highlights communities commonly overlooked and ignored.
Rhona is a stylist, writer and founder of THIIIRD, an independent magazine and inclusive platform amplifying underrepresented voices in print and online. Based in London with a versatile book of clients, she regularly works between the realms of commercial campaigns, music, magazine and celebrity styling.

    A Photographer's Journey

    A Photographer's Journey

    Welcome to Blazon.

On this episode I'm talking to Joel, a photographer from Venezuela who is based in London. He uses arts, lighting and colours for inspiration and enjoys creating images with meaning. He uses a dark, colourful and cinematic style to create his imagery.

You don’t wake up one day fully turned out as an expert, as a professional photographer. It is a journey many experts and professionals in their fields are familiar with. It’s a journey involving wonder, magic, missteps, pain and adventure that binds us to our professions and creates a bond only an expert in their field would truly understand.

On this episode Joel gives us a candid insight into his journey; talking to us about his adventure.

Photography as a tool for Social Impact

Photography as a tool for Social Impact

     Welcome to Blazon.

This week I’m talking to JC Candanedo, who is a London-based Visual Artist. JC uses photography to explore Human Rights, Mental Health, and Identity. These themes influence his commercial work in Fashion, Beauty and Portraiture.

When we think about photography most people usually think about casual imagery for social media. However it is so much more. Throughout history photography has not only been used as a tool to document your immediate surroundings, but also a powerful tool for change, an instrument of social impact.
In this episode we dig into how photography can be used for social impact and how it can be used to pursue sustainable change.

    Discovering the Art of Photography

    Discovering the Art of Photography

    Welcome to Blazon.

On this episode I'm talking to Darren Black, who is a fashion and portrait photographer based in London. An early adopter of trends and the zeitgeist, his approach is that of an artist rather than a fashion photographer. A lecturer at London College of Fashion and Instituto Marangoni. Darren teaches as a practitioner and has nurtured some great new creatives in the fashion industry.

What does creativity in photography involve? How do you progress as a photographer? What sets you apart as a photographer? These are questions that all creatives face, not just people in the field of photography. In this episode we discuss discovering what kind of photographer you are, what it means to be a photographer and discuss photography as an art form.
