What you have are two Oilers fans and broadcast students learning the ropes and gaining experience in their own personal-driven internships. They are first year students learning to walk in the ever changing and competitive world of media - cut them breaks and let them cook. I suggest you marinate on that.
This podcast is raw. It is a bit too unstructured. However there is substance here - especially with regard to strong takes on the hockey world. It is worth the time to pop in on. I see this series of exercises being something that, once they spend a decade in their careers, they look on and realize how far and polished they got over time.
No offense to “Mac”Kenzie - one half of the duo, but I know her co-host well. What I can say is that she has a commitment to the industry. She has knowledge and drive to get involved with different aspects of the industry - she often references them.
Tristyn AKA SgtBattle4 in the OilersNation Universe, has the look of the stereotypical radio personality. He looks nothing like he sounds. The dulcet tones of his soft-spoken voice do not match his exterior. So, to get a chance to put the person to the voice, you definitely should see any of their live shows. He also does a solid job as the host, moving the topics in a natural, unforced way.
There are a lot of solid content episodes to listen to in the podcast world. With Blueline Banter you get the added bonus of following a pair from their amateur status to the professional ranks.
