Board All The Time LIVE: Top Ten Games That Deserve a Second Chance Sequel

Hey BATT Family! We recorded this episode LIVE!!! at PopiCon 2026 on January 31, 2026. This was a really fun, weird, what-if type of list similar to what we did at PopiCon last year. It's gone through a light editing pass to mostly condense the conversation and keep it from being overly long with a lot of the uhms and pauses, but you should feel like you were part of our audience that evening! Thanks again to PopiCon for hosting us and thank you so much for checking this episode out and we'll catch you on the next one! 00:00:00 - Intro 00:02:57 - List Criteria 00:05:07 - Number 10s 00:10:58 - Number 9s 00:17:34 - Number 8s  00:23:03 - Number 7s  00:28:20 - Number 6s  00:34:13 - Number 5s 00:41:25 - Number 4s 00:49:13 - Number 3s 00:56:28 - Number 2s 01:04:15 - Number 1s 01:17:33 - Audience Suggestions 01:21:03 - Outro --- We'd like to thank our sponsors as well: Grand Gamers Guild! https://grandgamersguild.com. Board All the Time Episode 31

Hey hey BATT Family! Episode 31 is here for your auditory enjoyment. This one is another episode that we had way too much fun recording.  We are lucky enough to be joined by D. Brad Talton, President and Owner of Level 99 Games, on the show this time around. What you are hearing is a much smaller subset of the conversations that we had with him because we got pretty deep into the inside baseball of the industry and how things get done. While it was fascinating for us, we thought it might be less so for the general audience, but what remained is still a really fun, compelling conversation I think. In addition to having Brad on, we also had the infamous Jen join us for the first time someone else hit us with a Why Did We Play That. It's a wild episode and, unsurprisingly, it was another bear to edit through but I'm very proud of what we have here. It's also the biggest single episode I've had to edit - the raw file was almost four hours long because we just kept talking and having a good time. So apologies for this one running longer than normal, but it's already pretty solidly condensed from multiple editing passes. The next thing you'll hear from us is our next live episode, recorded in front of an audience at PopiCon 2026! Let us know what you think of this episode when you're done with it, go check out some of L99's sick looking Gamefound campaigns, and we'll catch you on the next one! --- This episode's segments: 00:00:00 - Intro 00:03:30 - What's Been on the Table 00:11:52 - Topic of the Week: Level 99 Games 00:29:10 - Grand Gamers Guild Sponsor 00:30:40 - Why Did I Play That: Le Plateau 00:45:10 - Table / Shelf / Trade 01:15:49 - Rotating Segment: Visions of the Future 01:23:06 - Secret Door Sponsor   01:23:58 - Meeple Source Sponsor 01:25:01 - Victory Roll Sponsor 01:25:51 - Contact Info for BATT and Theater Geeks 01:27:03 - Level 99 Upcoming Games / Outro ---   Notes! 1) Just listening back to this episode, it was a sheer joy to do so. I hope you have as much fun listening to it as it was both the first and second (and third and fourth and etc...) times for me.  2) So if you've seen Mark's Top 100 you know that Bullet ended up at number 4 on the list, not number 3. The joy of jostling numbers right before the end of the year. But I mean, really, it's a top five game and it's incredible regardless.  3) Sorry for the kind of awkward end to Scott's TST for 7 Wonders Dice - that's just how it ended on the recording. None of the rest of us had played it and didn't have much else to say.  4) I have since played Toy Battle and really, really enjoy it. I expect to also be talking about it during an upcoming episode because of just how utterly replayable it is. 5) Mark backed Decko after talking with Brad. Really looking forward to that one.  --- We'd like to thank our sponsors as well: Grand Gamers Guild! https://grandgamersguild.com. Board All the Time Episode 30

Hey hey BATT Family! Sorry to overload you with top ten lists recently, but here is Episode 30! As it's a multiple of five it is a top ten list and this week's episode is about Simultaneous Action games. This was recorded at Gen Con on July 30th, 2025 in the BATT hotel room, so it's a bit more echoey than usual. This topic was brought by the guest of the show, Derian, who has been a good friend of ours for years and runs all of the demo tables at Gen Con. If you've ever seen the dude wearing a bright orange shirt, a mohawk, and a utilikilt - that's our boy. We cover some really great games here and even had a couple (big ones) that were forgotten off of some of the lists. Give it a go, let us know what you think and we'll see you in two weeks with Episode 31 where we have the president of Level 99 Games on with us! --- This episode's segments: 00:00:00 - Intro / How We Know Each Other 00:02:18 - History / List Selection Criteria 00:07:23 - Scott's 10 (Broom Service) 00:10:13 - Derian's 10 (Broom Service) 00:12:15 - Mark's 10 (Smartphone, Inc.) 00:14:40 - Scott's 9 (Apples to Apples) 00:15:45 - Derian's 9 (Quacks of Quedlinberg) 00:18:00 - Mark's 9 (Raptor) 00:20:15 - Scott's 8 (7 Wonders) 00:23:46 - Derian's 8 (Niagara) 00:26:02 - Mark's 8 (Hadara) 00:28:32 - Scott's 7 (Get Bit) 00:31:36 - Derian's 7 (7 Wonders) 00:32:14 - Mark's 7 (Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition) 00:35:19 - Scott's 6 (Bezzerwizzer) 00:37:00 - Derian's 6 (Roll for the Galaxy) 00:38:44 - Mark's 6 (Faraway) 00:40:17 - Grand Gamer's Guild Sponsor 00:41:33 - Scott's 5 (Gloomhaven / Frosthaven) 00:43:16 - Derian's 5 (Between Two Cities) 00:45:10 - Mark's 5 (Antidote) 00:47:32 - Scott's 4 (Planet Unknown) 00:48:50 - Derian's 4 (On Tour) 00:50:36 - Mark's 4 (Incan Gold) 00:51:42 - Scott's 3 (Antidote) 00:52:24 - Derian's 3 (Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest) 00:53:30 - Mark's 3 (Tidal Blades: Banner Festival) 00:55:05 - Scott's 2 (On Tour) 00:56:46 - Derian's 2 (Orleans) 01:01:04 - Mark's 2 (El Grande) 01:04:02 - Scott's 1 (Bullet) 01:06:37 - Derian's 1 (Race for the Galaxy) 01:10:27 - Mark's 1 (Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest) 01:15:29 - Secret Door Sponsor   01:16:20 - Meeple Source Sponsor 01:17:23 - Victory Roll Sponsor 01:18:14 - Contact Info for BATT and Theater Geeks 01:19:25 - Outro --- Notes! 1) Scott's lead in on his number 10 is something that was referrenced in the Honorable Mentions! That'll be out with an Odds and Ends episode eventually. 2) In regards to El Grande, because the way Derian jumped in I didn't really fully explain why I picked it. The simultaneous selection is admittedly not that high here (really only during the scoring phases) but I find it to be so radically important to the game that it had to be that high. Realistically I should have had this probably a bit lower on the list, and it definitely would have been bounced lower as Bullet should have been my number 2, but I still like the game quite a bit and think it deserves to be here.  3) One other thing I found interesting listening to this episode back to back with our recent Top of 2025 lists is how consistent some of these opinions are. We played an enormous amount of games in the five months between these three recordings and we still managed to feel the way we did in both periods. Apologies for these being so close together though, the intent is that we'd actually start 2026 with Episode 31 but my schedule just got delayed significantly over the past few weeks and the edits just fell behind. So that's why they've lined up the way they have.    4) Libby scored 52 points as recorded, not 56. But I looked over the photo and found that she accidentally cheated and connected a 74 to a 73 in the South. Whoops. 50 points is still insane though. Board All The Time LIVE: Top Ten Games of All Time for 2026

Hey hey BATT Family! Welcome to our LIVE Top Ten Episode! This time Scott, Jason, and Mark are all running down their top ten games of all time! This was recorded live at Victory Roll Cafe on December 17th, 2025 and so it's going to have the ambient audio of a live cafe in the background. This was an absolute blast for us to do and we had such a great vibe of people coming and going. This is mostly unedited, so all the ums, ahs, and oh you knows are going to be there, but that's the joy of recording this way. It has been lightly edited for some clarity, especially at the back end of the episode since the crowd noise wouldn't be all choppy, but this is what we sound like live! Now you know what all I normally spend so much time cutting out. Thank you again to all of our sponsors and thank YOU for continuing the journey with us here in 2026. We can't wait to see what the year has for us and getting back onto a more regular release schedule! --- This episode's segments: 00:00:00 - Intro / We're Live at Victory Roll! 00:02:18 - Grand Gamer's Guild Sponsor 00:03:15 - List Selection Criteria 00:10:15 - Scott's 10 (Red Rising) 00:14:36 - Jason's 10 (Just One) 00:16:30 - Mark's 10 (Raiders of the North Sea) 00:19:44 - Scott's 9 (Middle Ages) 00:22:37 - Jason's 9 (CuBirds) 00:25:32 - Mark's 9 (Aquatica) 00:27:28 - Scott's 8 (Vantage) 00:33:19 - Jason's 8 (Tidal Blades: Banner Festival) 00:37:33 - Mark's 8 (Obsession) 00:40:13 - Scott's 7 (Twinkle Twinkle) 00:43:46 - Jason's 7 (Dice Throne) 00:46:59 - Mark's 7 (River of Gold) 00:50:25 - Scott's 6 (Flamecraft) 00:53:21 - Jason's 6 (Vantage) 00:55:06 - Mark's 6 (Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest) 00:58:12 - Scott's 5 (Wandering Galaxy) 01:01:01 - Jason's 5 (Twilight Imperium Fourth Edition) 01:04:57 - Mark's 5 (Nemesis) 01:06:18 - Scott's 4 (Wonderland's War) 01:09:31 - Jason's 4 (Marvel Zombicide) 01:10:43 - Mark's 4 (Bullet Heart) 01:13:57 - Scott's 3 (Critter Kitchen) 01:15:29 - Jason's 3 (Shadow Hunters) 01:17:35 - Mark's 3 (Sentinels of the Multiverse: Definitive Edition) 01:19:46 - Scott's 2 (A Message from the Stars) 01:22:07 - Jason's 2 (Marvel Champions) 01:23:18 - Mark's 2 (On the Underground: London/Berlin) 01:25:44 - Scott's 1 (Tidal Blades 2: Rise of the Unfolders) 01:30:06 - Jason's 1 (Gears of War) 01:32:46 - Mark's 1 (Veiled Fate) 01:36:36 - Sponsors / Outro --- We'd like to thank our sponsors as well: Grand Gamers Guild! https://grandgamersguild.com. Board All the Time Episode 29

Hey hey BATT Family! Heck Yeah Episode 29! Scott and I had a great time recording this one, but it was a bummer Jason couldn't join us since he was sick on the night of recording. We decided to bring back the Mechanics Shop and discuss one of our favourite mechanisms: Tile Laying! We also got to have a long conversation about one of Mark's favourite games for Why Did It Take So Long to Play That. And finally we wrap this one up with a TST that goes kind of out of order because Scott accidentally brought a game to review he'd already done so with. Board All the Time Episode 28 (With AJ Porfirio)

Hey hey BATT Family! Huzzah for Episode 28! I would really love for one of these edits to go a lot smoother and thankfully I think this should be the last super difficult one for a while. Regardless! We have AJ from Van Ryder Games on with us and had an absolute blast talking with him! We got to talk the wide array of Van Ryder's games, what games to show to new people, and I got to absolutely traumatize Scott and Jason with this week's pick for Why Did I Play That?
