Great gaming podcast!!!
What a great concept. I just started recently checking out different gaming podcasts, and while there are some good ones out there, this is my favorite. You get to hear about the latest kickstarters, then Katie and Jason discuss a couple of random games they played, followed by games pertaining to a different theme each episode. It works really well and each episode flies by. I enjoy it a lot and genuinely look forward to each new one. As a fan of games, it’s very enjoyable and informative. And as an amateur game designer hearing about the different concepts and mechanics is invaluable! You’ll hear about dozens of games each episode and in digestible pieces. Worst part of the show is realizing how many great games are out there and figuring out which one to buy. Katie and Jason, please keep up the great work! Thanks!!
Great podcast if you like minis
These guys cover a wide variety of games, and adroitly avoid making you feel bad for liking games they don’t. Their taste in games varies enough that they cover about the entire spectrum of games, even if they don’t love the same ones I do, they give everyone a fair shot.
They keep it lite, and the show never runs too long, and if you’re lucky, they break out the sound effects.
If you do listen, reach out to them and inform them they are wrong about miniature games, and so very right about sharing their love of boardgames.
Honestly a fun show, without the heavy handedness of some other podcasts out there.
Also, games with minis are awesome, but so are games with cubes, dice, and anything in the Mediterranean.
Hank & John
Joel and Jason do a great job of discussing the ins and outs of board games over the sounds of royalty free 80s music. They are basically a board game version of Hank and John Green. Genuinely, with good chemistry the hosts do a great job of telling listeners what games are great to play and which games are worth passing up on. Even as a not very active gamer, they have inspired me to spend too much money on games just to admire the artwork.
Really great honestly!
