CGI and Video Game Animation
I have been mildly aggravated by CGI and 3D animation for a while, and this week, I thought I'd just dive right in and analyze why CGI and video game characters look and move differently than real (real? live? actual? I don't know...) humans.
Also, I think I said General Moff Tarkin instead of Grand Moff Tarkin, I hope all of the die-hard Star Wars fans out there will forgive my slip up.
The book I mentioned is called Making Faces by Kevin Aucoin. It's available on Amazon. -

Correction: When I talked about mapping Space, I mentioned movement that is close to the body as “near space” and movement that is far away from the body as “far space”
It is a lie. (Well, a mistake, but a stupid one on my part.) I should have said “near reach” and “far reach.” -

With a background in martial arts (20+) years and almost that long in Physical Therapy, I had a natural interest in body language. I am happy I found this podcast! Laurel offers her expertise of somatic understanding with humility, pragmatism, common sense, and passion. Thanks!
