A great way to preview self help books
I love the easy-going and candid way that Melissa and Em summarize each book and provide insights on how it helped them.
A great self-study and personal growth resource
As a therapist, I really love this podcast. So often, I encourage clients to seek out self-help books as part of their recovery process. However, many of my clients feel pulled in so many directions that they have trouble committing to bibliotherapy. It just feels like another thing to pile onto the to-do list. I love that the Podcast hosts simplify this by focusing on a different self-help resource each episode, then review its key points, and provide a takeaway exercise. It’s like cliff-notes for personal development! Some people who listen may be inspired to give the featured book the full read, but I love that everyone can take something away from each episode even if they choose not to delve into the book themselves. Great job ladies!
