Book Squad Podcast

I really enjoy this podcast! I love the recommendations, listening to their thoughts, and of course, getting my bookish news. Thank you so much to the hosts, and the Lawrence Public Library, for putting out such great content.

Podcasting at its best. You feel like you are getting to know people and be a part of their lives, their relationship, and learning from them at the same time. These two discuss their lives, their profession, and (of course) all things books. They reveal as many sides of themselves as their favorite multi-faceted characters. Plus, it doesn't hurt that as a local you get to keep up on fun events in town. Glad to be along for the ride, it's definitely a must-subscribe!

I thoroughly enjoy this podcast. Polli and Kate have actually funny jokes and excellent book recommendations. I love the variety of their show, too: two book minimum, “she said; she said”, and what’s happening around town in bookish news. Their most recent episode had me laughing out loud. I love books... I love reading... I love engaging conversation fueled by the thoughts inspired by what I and others have read... This podcast serves as the book club I don’t have time to start... Kate and Polli make me laugh, make me think, and introduce me to books that wouldn’t be on my radar otherwise... and when I listen with a glass of wine, it IS book club! The Book Squad hosts challenge me to go there—and they professionally put themselves out there too... Wish I lived in Lawrence—BEST LIBRARIANS EVER!!!! Pour yourself a glass of red, find a comfy chair, or your cleaning supplies or whatever you like to do when you think the big thoughts—and give this podcast a go... you won’t be disappointed!
