    𝐗𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 is a school based in Houston, TX that is devoted to creating an education model where learning is student-centered, flexible, stimulating, and personalized. 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐝𝐞 𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐮𝐚𝐝𝐫𝐚 founded the school in 2007; however, its inspiration began many years ago after emigrating to NYC’s Lower East Side from Ecuador at an early age.

    Richard, as he will tell us, was fortunate to be part of the Nativity Mission Center School and then later Xavier High School. His Jesuit educators were committed to building genuine relationships with each student, which inspired and grew his passion for changing the way young learners experience academics.

    Richard joins the 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐧 & 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐭 to tell his personal story and about the incredible way 𝐗𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 helps their students learn and grow.

Harris has a real talent for storytelling, and certainly knows how to bring out a very compelling narrative from his subject. Give it a listen — you’ll find yourself needing to learn more about down-to-earth, gifted doers.
