Amy was named the Minnesota Board of Trustees Educator of the Year for 2023, she is a professor at Inver Hills Community College, and she is also the staff advisor for their LGBT+ Club! What’s fun about this conversation is that Amy seems to have been named as Educator of the Year at least in part because of her “unusual” teaching methods. I asked her all about them and now I understand how what she does to educate her students can work to change our lives for the better. I loved it and I’m pretty sure your friends in education will love it too.
