    Kira and Roy

    This episode contains discussion of terminal cancer. Please take care when listening. On the final Bound of the series, we meet Kira, the Boxer x Staffie, and her owner, Roy.  Kira is a very affectionate dog who loves a pully toy! She didn't always know how to play but once she settled with Roy and his partner, Charlotte, she soon realised how fun pulling on a toy is! Even though they never met, Kira's story is intertwined with Vinnie's, who was Roy's first ever dog. Vinnie was a Boxer x Alsatian and was Roy's canine soul mate. Roy lost Vinnie in 2018 and it's evident that it still impacts him to this day. Vinnie led a wonderful life with Roy and Charlotte, and now Kira is experiencing the same.  We also speak to Roy about his cancer diagnosis and how that has impacted him and how much of a support that Kira has been.     Gigha and Elspeth

    This week on Bound, we meet Cockapoo, Gigha, and her owner, Elspeth. Gigha is a very loving dog who absolutely adores her balls! Gigha is a registered therapy dog and meets patients and young people on a regular basis to help support them and bring out of their shell. We hear all about Elspeth and Gigha’s amazing work and the benefits a dog can bring to a variety of people including children with Adverse Childhood Experiences.     Rafa, Luca, Toffee, Manya and Jo

    Today on Bound we meet Rafa the Beagle, Luca and Podenco x Labrador and Toffee the Podenco x Boxer, and their owner Jo. These are three very different dogs with very different personalities. Rafa and Luca are the senior members of the pack and Toffee is just a youngster. Jo sadly lost her partner and found support in her beloved previous dog, Manya.  This led to Jo uprooting her life in Spain and moving her and the dogs back to Scotland.     Charlie, Sandy, Jamie, Nibbles and Yvonne

    This episode discusses cancer and the loss of a dog. Please take care when listening On this episode of Bound, we meet Springer Spaniel x Staffie, Charlie, and Sprocker Spaniels, Sandy and Jamie, and their owner, Yvonne. Yvonne is also joined by her 13-year-old Granddaughter, Taylor.  Charlie is 15 years old and Sandy and Jamie are sisters from different litters. Sandy is two and Jamie is just nine months.  Yvonne is in a dog-oriented family and truly loves her dogs. We also hear about Staffie cross, Nibbles, who meant, and still means, the world to Yvonne, and to Charlie too.     Lucy, Kelly and Sharon

    This episode discusses baby loss. Please take care when listening This week on Bound, we meet Yorkshire Terrier, Lucy, and her owners Kelly and Sharon. Lucy is a wee wonder dog who raises amazing amounts of money for charity. Lucy has walked the West Highland Way (over 90 miles!) and endured other walking challenges. Lucy has also forced Kelly and Sharon in to running marathons and taking on other heroic events.  Kelly's brother and sister-in-law lost their daughter Ivy at birth and Lucy raises money for a baby loss charity in Ivy's memory.  This episode was recorded before the sad passing of Scottish comedian, Janey Godley.  There is mention of Janey and her dog, Honey, in the podcast.     Miss Darcy and Carena

    This episode discusses the loss of a dog. Please take care when listening On the first in the new series of Bound, we meet Collie, Miss Darcy, and Carena. Carena has always had an incredibly close relationship with dogs. The first love of her life was a Collie called Yogi. Miss Darcy is a loving girl who is obsessed with her toys! Miss Darcy and her Collie companion, Flash, were like two peas in a pod. Their connection was instant and they did everything together. They shared toys, played in the snow and went for mad zoomies around the house. Unfortunately, Flash passed away unexpectedly which was a shock to Carena, her husband, Stu, and Miss Darcy. Carena has some very wise words about the loss of a beloved pet and amazing insights in to our relationship with dogs.     Kali and Jen

    This week on Bound, we meet Kali the Patterdale Terrier, and her owner, Jen.  Jen didn't grow up with dogs but when she got Kali, her attitude towards dogs changed forever. Kali and Jen are best friends and do so much together, they go running, to the beach, out in the Highlands for walks and so much more.  Jen didn't expect to feel the depth of love she feels for Kali and, like everyone we speak to on Bound, doesn't know what she would do without her canine pal.

    Maxwell, Harley and Robert

    This episode contains discussions of depression and mental health. This week on Bound we meet Maxwell, Harley and Robert. Maxwell is a West Highland Terrier and Harley is a black Retriever x Labrador. Robert was involved in a car accident which completely changed his life overnight. Robert went into a deep depression and debt due to his business not being able to continue. Harley and Maxwell have been, and still are, Robert’s sunshine on a dark day.

    Oscar and Chris

    Lee meets Oscar the 11-month old black Labrador and his owner, Chris.  Chris first met Oscar when he was a very small puppy and couldn't resist taking him home. Oscar loves people and playing with other dogs. He doesn't have a bad bone in his body and just wants to please. At the age of 48, Chris had his first heart attack which was a huge shock as Chris was incredibly fit. Oscar has been so important to Chris for companionship during a dark time in Chris's life and Oscar has helped Chris to build his confidence to get back out and get fit again.   Oscar has meant the world to Chris and he wouldn't be where he was in his recovery now without him.

    Fangy, Wooster and Nick

    This week on Bound, we meet greyhounds Fangy and Wooster and their owner, Nick. Fangy and Wooster are both retired racing greyhounds, going from a life in the racing kennels in to one of many, many beds in Nick and his wife's house. Nick wasn't always a fan of dogs, his views were completely overhauled after getting his own. He went from not liking dogs and being a bit scared of larger breeds, to becoming a compassionate and loving dog carer.  We cover greyhound fashion, chattery jaws, zoomies, being strangely fixated on other greyhounds, and their owners, and much more.     Penny, Bella and Sharon

    On the first episode of Bound, we meet Pug x Chihuahua, Bella, and Labrador x, Penny, along with their owner, Sharon Comrie. Sharon has dedicated her life to the welfare of animals and rescued both Bella and Penny as very young dog.  We hear how Sharon's life was changed by being one of the thousands of women impacted by complications relating to mesh surgery. This episode does contain some descriptions of the surgery and the female anatomy so may not be suitable for all audiences.  Bella is described as a bundle of joy and Penny can make you hand over your whole heart with just one look.
