The story about a boy thrown away at birth in Korea and rescued at the brink of death -- and his journey through life. The podcast explores Dr Terwilliger's humorous experiences on the farm, life in the Air Force, funny stories, travels around the world, and learning to cope with a disability that impacted his life. Join me on this journey and the twists and turns of life through the lens of a gay Asian American who lived the American dream. There will be lots of laughs, perhaps a tear; and mostly adventure! (Amazing cover art by artist Ken Bryson; intro/exit music by Markus Terwilliger). Boy In the Trash Can is a production of CSJ Associates and is dedicated to Barbara Holton Terwilliger

    #83-2 - Mom's Birthday

#83-2 - Mom's Birthday. This second intermission is  done because I'm in the middle of a remodel project, taking time from doing the regular podcast. Today was Mom's birthday and this intermission episode shares some stories and how I'm memorializing her work in animal husbandry.

Kim Pil Sook ,

Looking forward to more

Luck seems the wrong word for the miracle that saved Thom. Providence seems right. Can’t wait to hear more of your story.

Kenryuchris ,

Very interesting listen! A story you have likely never heard! Check it out

I never knew that discarding children in the trash was a thing, but I guess I should have knowing even in our country it was fairly common place to leave an infant at a fire-station, and sadly ive read in our own modern times of babies being left in dumpsters. But the Spikes story shows you even from such a place of birth with 0 privilege (like maybe white skin color) , 0 advantages (like maybe a family of wealth) and 0 family at the start, your life can go where you desire.

Episodes are short enough for the drive in to work! Check it out.
