Brave Believer Chronicles

Amanda Stephens

Brave Believer Chronicles is a space devoted to sharing biblical truths and real-life testimonies that reveal the power and presence of God in everyday lives. Born out of a deep love for Jesus and a longing to see hearts awakened, this podcast is simply our way of walking with others, hand in hand, toward Jesus. From spontaneous river baptisms to Spirit-led conversations, we’re here to help people find Jesus, connect with Him deeply, and continue growing—both in their walk and ours. As the body of Christ, we believe we’re called to sharpen one another, encourage one another, and lift each other up in love and truth. We hold firmly to the authority of Scripture and rely fully on the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to stir a holy fire—to encourage people to open their Bibles, encounter the living God, and know Jesus personally, powerfully, and truly. He is the King of kings, the one true Abba Father, and we exist to glorify Him.

    E1: The Passover Lamb

Send us a text FIND VIDEO ON MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL:  https://youtube.com/@amandastephens24?si=-mLeb65aDZXt5h6t Passover Video Show notes: Exodus 12 KEY Elements:  1.     10th day- get the lamb, 14th day- slaughter the lamb (4 days***- Jesus comes in as the “anointed one” on Nisan 10. John 12:12-16 2.     Lamb without blemish- points to Jesus: 1 Peter 1:17-21, John 19:4 3.     Slaughter at twilight- 4.     The Passover lamb was to be sacrificed in the temple on Nisan 14 (Preparation Day) at “twilight” (Exodus 12:6), or at the “twain of the evenings.”  In Hebrew, the literal translation of “twilight” is beyn ha’arbayim, or “between the evenings” (see Exodus 12:6 in Young’s Literal Translation). 6.     The last half of the daylight hours (from about noon to 6:00 p.m.) were further divided into two parts.  These were the minor evening oblation (noon to 3:00 p.m.) and the major evening oblation (3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.). 8.     Thus, “between the evenings” means between these two periods, or about 3:00 p.m.  During Spring-time, this is the time midway between the beginning of the sun’s descent into the west (about noon) and its setting (about 6:00 p.m.).  So the Passover lamb was killed at approximately 3:00 p.m. on Nisan 14. 10.  From the sixth hour of daylight (noon) until the ninth hour (3:00 p.m.), darkness came over the land; and it was about the ninth hour (about 3:00 p.m.) that Jesus died (Matthew 27:45-50; Mark 15:33-37; Luke 23:44-46).  Thus, Jesus died at the same time that Israel’s high priest slaughtered the Passover lamb in the temple.  This correlation indicates that Jesus was the ultimate Passover Lamb for humanity (1 Corinthians 5:7b). Exodus 12: 6, Matthew 27:45  11.  Blood on doorposts and lintel of the home (see brendas videos) -Exodus 12:7, Exodus 12:13.  12.  Eat the flesh on that night, roasted in fire: Exodus 12:8, Hebrews 12:28, Deut 4:23 the theme of God being a consuming fire — representing His holiness, judgment, and purifying presence — appears throughout Scripture, even if the exact phrase isn't used. (see below for verses that describe this attribute of our God) 1. Exodus 24:17, Leviticus 10:2, Numbers 16:35, Psalm 97:3, Isaiah 33:14, Ezekiel 1:27, Daniel 7:10 13.  None remain until morning- completely disappear- similar to Jesus disappearing when he rose again: Luke 24:1-6, John 6:53-56 ➤ Just as the Passover lamb was eaten, so Jesus becomes our spiritual nourishment — He dwells within us, not left behind. This is not cannibalism, but a deeply spiritual truth: we take Him in by faith and He becomes part of us. Symbolic Parallel: The Passover lamb was: Chosen on the 10th, Killed on the 14th, Consumed that night, Not left behind.Jesus: Entered Jerusalem on the 10th (Lamb chosen), Crucified on the 14th (Lamb slain), Buried before night, and His body not left to decay or be defiled. Spiritually consumed by believers — He abides in us. In Short: Exodus 12:10 sets the foundation: the lamb must not remain.John 6:53-56 shows how we "consume" Him spiritually — by faith — as the true Passover Lamb.Support the show Stay BRAVE, stay BEAUTIFUL, and stay BLESSED. :) Hugs- Amanda

    BMC LEGACY EPISODE- E3- Recalibrated

Send us a text Were are consistently being recalibrated throughout our life – what are you recalibrating YOUR compass to?  In this episode, titled "Recalibrated," I reflect on the transformative journey I've experienced over the last few months. This period has been marked by a profound increase in wisdom and understanding, courtesy of the Holy Spirit. Through this divine guidance, I've come to grasp deeper spiritual truths and a renewed understanding of the Bible. Throughout the episode, I explore how God has spoken to my soul, using various scriptures to underscore this truth. The insights the Holy Spirit has revealed to me about each of the gospels and even some of Paul’s letters are shared, highlighting how biblical prophecy has strengthened my faith by providing purpose and direction. A significant theme in this journey has been the process of removing worldly influences, or "leaven," from my life, to allow the "leaven" of Jesus to fill my soul. This journey hasn't been easy; it requires letting go of control and fully submitting to God’s will. However, this surrender is essential for fixing our eyes on eternity and our eternal destiny. As Jesus taught, to gain life, we must lose it in the now, embracing our specific God-given purpose. This episode is a heartfelt call to choose our unique path in God’s kingdom, understanding that each of us is created by God, precious and irreplaceable, with a specific purpose that we are called to fulfill. Scriptures: 1. Proverbs 3:11-26-His wisdom&understanding are more precious than any gemstone&will not fade away like riches on earth. 2. Matthew 10:32-27-to gain eternal life is to lose this one. 3. John 10:1-2-Enter spiritual realm through any way but the gate (who is Jesus) is a thief and a robber;Jesus is the way. He is the good shepherd. 4. 2 Corinthians 11- Counterfeit spirits, a warning from Paul 5. Matthew 25:1-13- Fill yourself with oil (the Holy Spirit), so that your lamp will shine BRIGHTLY. 6. 1 Corinthians 5:6-8- Get the old worldly leaven out, and replace it with Jesus’ leaven. 7. Matthew 16:5-12- don’t let man fill you with (even with a little) leaven that is not of the everlasting word of Jesus- beware of false teachers who teach anything other than Jesus’ testimony.  Books: 7 habits of highly effective people- By Dr. Stephen Covey Websites: 1. BMC LEGACY EPISODE- E1- Hardships in Life and Spiritual Doubt

Send us a text When you can't see or feel Jesus with your physical senses, step out in courage to KNOW He is still there. Have faith that God knows your needs, and will provide them. Try just one more time - pray, choose to love and trust God even when your spirit doesn't want to. Continue to seek Gods kingdom, continue to step in faith and follow Gods blueprint for life; He promises He will reveal himself to you if you seek Him with your entire heart. If we fix our eyes on what is unseen, instead of what is seen, this helps us align our hearts with Gods will, and opens us up to being filled with the Holy Spirit more deeply. Instead of identifying in your earthly roles, identify in Jesus and preform your roles (mom, daughter, wife, your hobby, your job, etc) from a place of core self- where endless love from Jesus can fill you up. This will allow you to extend grace, humility, and love, out into the world with no expectation of anything in return. Remember: you are not defined by your outward earth "stuff"- whether you have a car thats running on fumes and the door is falling off versus a luxury car,  if you live in a tent behind McDonals versus your "dream home", having perfect hair, makeup or clothes, looking "put together" or like you just rolled out of bed.....God wants you JUST AS YOU ARE -  no mask, no stuff, just raw authentic YOU. Open your bible and read - profound things will happen: Jesus says in Matthew 6 - Do Not Worry.....powerful stuff.  Scriptures from Episode 1: 1. Amanda's favorite verse: 2 Corinthians 2:14-18. You are an eternal being. Try to see the unseen eternal world, instead of all the earth things you can see with your eyeballs. :)  2. The book of Job - seeing God with NEW eyes; God is so much bigger than we can ever imagine. Trust that He is in control of everything, including your life.  3. Psalm 84 – our flesh aches for Jesus and Gods Kingdom.  4. Psalm 86 – David prays: a prayer of pain and crying out to God our creator.  5. Psalm 69- David suffers for being righteous  6. Matthew 6 – Jesus says “don’t worry”  - Tony Evans "Hope Words": 1. " When its not fair, it doesn't mean Gods not there. Trust him, He has a purpose in the pain."  2. "Sometimes God allows something in your life that only He can fix so that you will get to see that He is the One who can fix it."  Stay BRAVE, stay BEAUTIFUL, and stay BLESSED. :) Hugs- Amanda  Support the show Stay BRAVE, stay BEAUTIFUL, and stay BLESSED. :) Hugs- Amanda
