75: Weird Things Happen In Philadelphia

I hope you like the episodes where we just talk about weird Philadelphia shit, because it takes us a full 20 minutes to get to the Andy Griffith Show in this one, and when we do, we get distracted almost immediately!

In this episode, we meet Vent Guy, eulogize 300 reindeer, and take a strong stance on the subject of dogs being struck by lightning: We're against it.

Why, you ask? Because it's Season 3, Episode 23 - Andy Discovers America, and wow, he discovers it... badly.

UNLOCKED PATREON CONTENT: Giving The Shocker: A Kamen Rider Podcast

That's right, in this UNLOCKED content previously only available to Patreon subscribers, we're talking about the seminal Japanese motorcycle superhero of the 1970's: Kamen Rider. Listen, as our daring podcasters half-remember the first three episodes of this classic (genuinely awesome) show, repeatedly call Japanese martial arts as kung fu, yell about homeowners association, and discuss about proper ways to motivate your henchmen.

A Good Companion

I find this show to be fun to listen to. I just finished season one, and I love it. It’s great to listen along to people who are going insane, but seem to enjoy it.

Funny and Weird as H***

If I find this as funny as I do without even watching the episode they're discussing, I should probably start watching the show(s). I hope they move on to another series after they've trudged through Andy Griffith. The wide breadth of political/cultural knowledge the hosts are draw from in their commentary is ignited by genuine anxiety lol. The darkest shadows are cast on each scene.

In addition to the great and extremely funny podcast, the hosts are very cute

Breaking Mayberry is a review podcast about beloved 1960s tv show, The Andy Griffith Show. This podcast is much funnier and more entertaining than you’d expect from the premise.

Hosts Marty and Dan have great banter and chemistry as they discuss the show at its funniest, most boring, and at times most morally horrifying (especially from a modern standpoint). On occasion they invite guests to the show which are equally entertaining and provide insight from their individual knowledge bases.

I don’t have a lot more to say other than it’s a really fun podcast I look forward to with every update.
