Along the continuum of a Christian's life and spiritual formation come periods that can be characterized as a season of wrestling with God. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is the single most important event in human history. Because Jesus defeated death, hell, and the grave, we too can have victory in this life. Once a believer realizes that the same power that rose Jesus from the grave dwells within them, they become a powerful force for all that is good and true in the kingdom of God.

The moments leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ included immense suffering. As the Messiah prepared to offer His life as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity, he endured many trials, great physical pain at the hands of his accusers, and deep emotional and relational hardship. And yet, His love for us was so great, He did it willingly. Now, we that are in Him, live free.
In preparation to celebrate the Risen Christ this Easter season, contemplating the events surrounding the days before the public mocking and execution of Jesus will bring a deep sense of reverence and gratitude to the One who paid the ultimate price for our redemption.
