Why Do I Keep Procrastinating Even When I Know What to Do?

You know what you need to do. You have the skills, the experience, and the desire to do it. So why do you keep procrastinating? You tell yourself you’re busy, exhausted, or handling other priorities. But what if there’s something else influencing your avoidance? In this episode of Breakthrough Weekly, I share a personal experience that made me question why I was postponing something important for my business. As I explored my resistance to creating a webinar, I recognized an old belief about not being good enough and a fear of being judged for what I might not know. What surprised me was how quickly that belief had influenced the way I was viewing something I already had years of experience doing. We explore how procrastination can be connected to fear of failure, anticipated shame, subconscious beliefs, and the meanings we attach to experiences. I also introduce my BELIEF acronym to explain how our beliefs, experiences, learning, identity, expectations, and filters can influence the way we see ourselves and respond. In this episode, we explore: Why you can know exactly what to do and still postpone it.How fear of judgment can influence avoidance. Why an old belief can resurface in a new situation. How your belief system influences your expectations and actions. What understanding your procrastination can help you change. Why Is It So Hard to Leave a Relationship When You Know It’s Not Right for You?

You know the relationship isn’t right for you. You’ve questioned whether you should leave, maybe more times than you can count. So why does walking away feel so difficult? Sometimes, the person who makes you feel loved, safe, and wanted is also someone you know isn’t right for you. I spent almost four years in a relationship where I experienced that conflict firsthand. In this episode of Breakthrough Weekly, I share my personal story and explore why emotional needs, subconscious beliefs, and personal values can influence the relationships we choose and why we sometimes struggle to leave. We explore the fear of starting over, the difference between feeling loved and being compatible, and how beliefs such as “I’m not good enough” and “What I want isn’t available to me” can influence our relationship choices. If you’ve ever wondered why you keep holding on to a relationship that doesn’t align with what you truly want, this episode may help you better understand what’s influencing your decisions. 💜 BOOK YOUR COMPLIMENTARY EXPLORATORY CALL If you recognize patterns in your relationships that you’d like to change, I invite you to schedule a complimentary exploratory call. I Was Reprogramming My Mind Without Knowing It. You Might Be Too.

Do you ever catch yourself saying harsh, critical things to yourself? “I’m so stupid.”
“What is wrong with me?”
“Why do I always do this?” You may say these things automatically and barely notice them anymore. But when the same message is repeated again and again, it can become familiar and what becomes familiar can influence what you believe about yourself. In this episode of Breakthrough Weekly, I share something I did during one of the most difficult periods of my life, long before I became a hypnotherapist. At the time, I had no idea what I was actually doing. Now I do. We’ll explore how repetition and self-talk can reinforce beliefs, why the words that follow “I am” or “I’m” matter, and how an experience or mistake can become part of the identity you hold about yourself. I’ll also share how working on my own inner critic changed the way I respond to mistakes and difficult emotions and why consciously changing your words may not always address the deeper beliefs driving the response. In this episode: 0:00 — Introduction
1:12 — Reprogramming My Mind Without Knowing It
4:58 — Why the Mind Likes What’s Familiar
7:37 — Your Words Can Reveal Your Beliefs
9:54 — My Breakthrough Moment
13:40 — Your Reflection
14:55 — Ready to Understand What’s Driving It?
15:46 — Closing Thoughts If you’re noticing beliefs or ways of speaking to yourself that may be affecting how you feel, respond, or show up in your life, schedule a complimentary exploratory call. We’ll discuss what’s showing up for you, what you want to change, and whether this work is a fit for you. https://thethrivingpathways.com/appointment/ Follow Breakthrough Weekly for future episodes about the subconscious mind, beliefs, behavior, hypnosis, and creating meaningful change. You’ve Done the Work. So Why Do You Still Doubt Yourself?

You know your job. You’ve done it well for years. People come to you for answers. So why can one bad moment still make you question yourself? Sometimes the issue goes deeper than confidence. You can spend years building skills, gaining experience, and proving that you are capable while still seeing yourself through a belief you formed much earlier in life. In this episode of Breakthrough Weekly, I share a personal realization that helped me recognize exactly that in my own life. I’ll take you back to the childhood experience that shaped an early belief about myself, the evidence my mind continued focusing on, and the decades of contradictory evidence I had barely been counting. We’ll also explore why one correction can sometimes stay with you longer than years of positive feedback, how an old belief can continue influencing the way you show up today, and the breakthrough that occurred when I finally saw my own story differently. A question to consider as you listen: What are you still believing about yourself that was formed years ago, and what evidence in your life today tells a different story? If you recognize that an unconscious belief or pattern may be influencing how you see yourself or how you’re showing up in your life, I invite you to schedule a complimentary exploratory call to see if you’re the right fit for this type of work: https://thethrivingpathways.com/appointment/ Breakthrough Weekly with Monica Pelayo

What You Fear People Think Is Costing You Business

How much of the way you show up in business is being influenced by what you assume other people think about you? Fear of judgment, criticism or rejection can quietly influence whether you start the conversation, introduce yourself, talk about your work, pursue an opportunity or allow yourself to become more visible. In this episode of Breakthrough Weekly, I share a conversation I had with an entrepreneur at a recent business seminar that demonstrated how our expectations about other people’s perceptions can begin influencing our behavior before we even know what they actually think. We explore the difference between someone’s response to your offer and personal rejection, why visibility can begin to feel threatening, and how an underlying belief may create friction between what you consciously want and what feels safe to do. I also share what I had to learn from my own experience about allowing other people to have their interpretation while continuing to show up, tell my story and build my business.
