    #92: Living as Your Authentic Self

    This week we’re talking about how to live most authentically as yourself. The ability to show up authentically may not come easily to you (it hasn’t for me). Over time I’ve worked on ways to find the parts of me that have been hidden. When you show up and love yourself, you can really step into the version of yourself that you’ve always dreamed of.  My dear friend, Hannah Carey, is on the show to ask me questions about how I show up for myself. Hannah and I had a lot of fun with this episode. She asked a lot of great questions (that I didn’t know ahead of time!).     #90: What Your Body Is Telling You with Chronic Pain Specialist Laura Koratsis

    Have you ever wondered what your body is telling you? It’s speaking to you all the time whether you realize it or not. I sat down with chronic pain specialist, Laura Koratsis, to learn more about how our bodies speak to us. Laura takes me through her ESP2 Method, where she evaluates Eating, Sleeping, Pooping, Emotional, Spiritual and Physical health before working on any client. Laura shares the reasons that each of those areas is important for understanding your overall health, while having me answer each question as she would ask a client.  It’s a great conversation that sheds light on the different areas of life that impact our bodies. Laura has seen it all, including getting messages from the deceased (Post Material People as she calls them) as she works on clients. Tune in to learn more about Laura’s process and how you can better understand what your body is telling you.  About Laura: Laura received her licensure in therapeutic massage & hydrotherapy from Finger Lakes School of Massage in 2005. She also studied fascial work and completed Levels 1 & 2 of the Taylor Techniques before embarking on her own course of study of the fascia under Tom Meyers’ Anatomy Trains, Live Dissection Classes. Laura studied the connection between fascia and movement as well as the relationship between the fascia and stored emotion and trauma, and the fascinating relationship between the fascia and the nervous, digestive and respiratory systems in addition to the musculoskeletal system. Laura’s work is firmly grounded in science, but is highly intuitive. To further enhance her understanding of the less obvious connection between emotion and dysfunction of the Soma, Laura completed her certification in hypnotherapy. Through Intuitive Touch she is able to connect the source of physical dysfunction and tune into the underlying emotional causes of pain, thereby unlocking the body’s own powerful healing response to allow for restoration of physical, mental and emotional release. Laura loves all living things and marvels at each opportunity to interact with the natural world around her. When she isn’t enjoying her passion for her work, she is absorbed in the love of her large and wonderful family, including her dogs and cats.     #89: Morning Routines, Seasonal Wellness and Circadian Rhythm Lighting with Christi Collins

    Morning routines and circadian rhythm lighting impact the trajectory of our days in many ways that we may not even realize. I sat down with wellness coach and quantum biology certified professional, Christi Collins, to discuss the importance of circadian rhythm lighting and morning routines. Christi shares tips for navigating the changes of seasons and how you can shift your morning routine over time in order to receive the full effects of circadian rhythm lighting for your body.   If you’re someone that has trouble sleeping and have tried all the options out there, you may want to consider your relationship with circadian rhythm lighting as a next step. Christi shares that the quality of our sleep is actually impacted by the quality of our morning routine and our access to circadian rhythm lighting. It is also impacted by our use of screens (TVs, computers, phones, etc). While screens aren’t going away in our lives, Christi shares tips for how to work with them and still protect your body from overuse.
