Brokenness leads to healing. I am part of the 2nd generation of the Way International. A Christian cult that I grew up in, or at least the remnants of. I left everything behind and found a messy, dangerous world filled with beautiful new friends and my own reckoning with the pains of the past. This was a year of my life that took me two and a half years to document and process. Through the help of celebrate recovery and pure desires ministry I’ve finally seen my own brokenness and how much my journey has only just begun.     Broken Interview

    Does He Still Love Me?

    Episode 7: Why not complicate matters more with an Ex-girlfriend from Ohio? She wasn’t really an Ex though... Does He Still Love Me? Verse 1 I quit, and went, back to my job To the familiar sea But even at home, I still feel lost Like something is still missing Following him was my greatest adventure But now it just seems too hard Can I find the courage I’ve lost? Before I wander too far And does he still, love me? Verse 2 Then Jesus came, And he stood on the shore And he began to call to me Just like he did before I couldn’t see his face from afar And I wondered what he was thinking So I pressed on through all of the hurt ‘Cause I was dying to see Does he still, love me? Verse 3 He fed us there and was so kind, But at the meals end He asked the question, three times Do I still love him? It grieved my heart to be asked Because he already knew My love for him would come and go It wouldn’t always be true So would he still, love me? Verse 4 He told me to feed his sheep, If I loved him, And he repeated my calling, To follow him to the end, He didn’t want to discuss, My past and future failings But he wasn’t blind to who I was He knew everything about me And even still, he loved me And even still, he loved me
