Brave, Unpretentious, Fun, Real, Vulnerable

First of all, what an outstanding premise. I am a huge fan of film/movies. I have used movies as distractions from or ways to process difficult breakups in the past. The idea that people may have a movie (or movies) associated with a particular relationship/breakup is highly relatable.

I think what I like the most about the show is that it sort of captures the duality of broken heartedness. On one hand, when one is broken-hearted, it feels like life is ending. But on the other hand, clearly it is not; and the world spins on. This show has a light hearted authentic tone without trivializing the gut wrenching reality of having a broken heart. It doesn't try to fix your broken heart; it just acknowledges the broken heart is there, and is brutal, and lets it be. Jill’s perspective is as if to say that just because we cry doesn't mean we can't also laugh. We can be happy and sad at the same time. We can connect to our loved ones and have broken hearts at the same time; in fact, that's probably the best way to do it. The podcast is brave, authentic, touching, fun, and more. Thank you Jill.

Awesome podcast

What a wonderful podcast. Great insights! You should do Little Shop of Horrors that has some great memories. FYI I never had a Barbra Streisand poster in my room lol. I still have the ruby converse!

So relatable! Funny, real, honest.

I love how real and unpolished this is. Jill, doesn’t pretend she has names right and laughs at herself that is so infectious you can’t help but to laugh with her. He really laugh is so infectious!

I have cracked up so hard in my car at the recounting of 80’s and 90’s movie un pc and inappropriate movie scenes that at the time we didn’t realize was so out of line!

Her theater background means great, outgoing, upbeat guests .

I started with the first one, Eat Prey Love. I laughed so hard when she said she wanted to kick Julia Robert’s in the crotch in the trying on jeans scene!

Some great break up advice, done hilarity and some fun memories of favorite movies through a modern lens.

Subscribe now, you won’t be sorry. You will feel like you have new friends.
