    #159: Scott Nield is the CEO of Montereau, which is Oklahoma’s premier retirement community.

    Scott is a deeply passionate senior living and hospitality executive who looks for innovative platforms and programming to delight his residents. Scott is a servant leader. He believes in living a life of service and purpose. Service has to benefit another. He feels his purpose in life is to ensure people (especially seniors) know they are loved, valued and that they are hugely important. Ultimately, great leadership is great fellowship. He sees senior living as a wonderful platform to fulfill this mission.

    Scott’s experiences both in the senior living and development sector have shaped his leadership, but also stem from his time leading some of the most elite PGA country clubs. During his time in professional golf he was able to learn from Craig Harmon and many other golf greats.

    Before Scott stepped into progressional golf he moved to the United States during college to play soccer and golf at New Mexico State University from Scotland.

    On the show Scott shares his story of growing up in Scotland, playing sports in college, getting into golf, stepping into senior living, RDD leadership, power of listening, mentors, finding a calling, failing forward, and much more.

    Joe Moglia - Former CEO & Chairman Of TD Ameritrade On Taking Responsibility, Execution, & BAM Leadership

    #158: Joe Moglia is the former CEO and Chairman of TD Ameritrade, former Head Football Coach and current Executive Advisor to the President and Chair of Athletics at Coastal Carolina.

    In 1984 Joe entered the MBA Training Program at Merrill Lynch, there were 25 MBA's and 1 football coach. By 1988, that football coach was the Number One Producer in the World. He became a member of both the Institutional and Private Client Executive Committees, and his final responsibilities were all Investment Products, the Insurance Company, the 401(k) Business and the Middle Markets. Prior to that, he was the head of Global Fixed Income Institutional Sales and ran the firm’s Municipal division.

    In the business world, he was at Merrill Lynch for 17 years before becoming the CEO at TD Ameritrade in 2001. When Joe stepped down in 2008, shareholders had enjoyed a 500% return. In 2009 he became Chairman of the Board and stepped down in 2020 when TD Ameritrade was acquired by Schwab. At close, the combined company was worth $100 BILLION with client assets of $7 TRILLION. When Joe arrived, these numbers were $700 million and $24 Billion. Quite a big difference.

    Joe has also been a Football Coach for 25 years, but it’s not a traditional 25 years. He began his career coaching for 16 years, moved to the business world for 24, and returned to football in 2009.

    In 2012, Joe became the Head Coach at Coastal Carolina and in his first five seasons went to the National Playoffs all 5 years and was Conference Champion 4 times. His overall record is 56‐22 and in his last 11 years of college coaching, he was a part of 8 championship teams. He has also received multiple Coach of the Year honors, including the Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year, was the recipient of the Vince Lombardi Award and was inducted into the Lombardi Hall of Fame. He was also selected to the Big South All Decade Team, and based on the success at the FCS, CCU was invited to the Conference.

    Joe has been induced into 10 Halls of Fame, received numerous leadership awards and is only the fourth alumnus in the history of Fordham University to receive three of the University’s highest awards: the Fordham Founders Award, induction into the Fordham Athletic Hall of Fame, and induction into Fordham’s Hall of Honor.

    His autobiography, “4th and Goal” by Monte Burke is in development for a film with Strong Studios. He is the only author who has written books published on both investing and football. His investing book is called, “Coach Yourself to Success” winning the investment game.

    #157: Will Reece is a sports agent, entrepreneur, and former basketball coach. In 2007, he set out to create his dream job, one that tied together his passion for sports, his knack for networking, and his desire to help others succeed. The result was NextLevel Sports Marketing and Representation.

    Now with over a decade of experience in the industry, he was recently featured in a CBSsports.com article identifying him as one of the top agents representing college basketball coaches. NextLevel currently represents 25+ Division 1 Head Basketball Coaches and several high potential assistant coaches. Some of the coaches they represent are guys like Jerome Tang with Kansas State, Grant McCasland with Texas Tech, Dennis Gates with Missouri, Mike Rohodes with Penn State, Josh Pastner, Jerod Hasse, and many others. Additionally, NextLevel has become a leader in creating professional development and networking opportunities for leaders in college athletics.

    In 2011, Reece founded the Collegiate Athletics Leadership Symposium (CALS). CALS is a by invitation professional development and networking event for intercollegiate athletics administrators. It has become one of the top professional development conferences in the field. CALS has hosted over 1,000 athletic administrators and industry experts over the past 13 years. 

    Prior to founding NextLevel, Reece was a highly successful high school and college basketball coach for 14 years.

    #156: Steve Largent is a NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver who spent 14 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. When he retired he held all of the major NFL receiving records.

    Steve played at the University of Tulsa where he was an All American. He was drafted in the 4th round of the 1976 NFL Draft by the Houston Oilers. After the preseason with the Oilers Steve was cut, but signed with Seattle and the rest is history. During his time in Seattle he was a 7x Pro Bowl selection, 2x NFL Receiving Yards leader, the NFL Man of the Year Award Recipient, just to name a few of his accolades. His number 80 has been retired by the Seahawks and number 83 has been retired by the University of Tulsa. In 1995 he was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame. 

    However, before all of his football success Steve overcame a lot of adversity from his upbringing with an absent father and alcoholic stepfather, which he shares. 

    After his time in the NFL he served as a member of the US House of Representatives from 1994 to 2002 and ran for Governor in the state of Oklahoma. He also served as the CEO of CTIA - The Wireless Association for 10 years.

    On the show he shares his story, playing in the NFL, forgiveness, overcoming challenges, the importance of relationships, principles to 50 year marriage, being a great dad, pursing excellence, the power of focus, leadership, and his faith and how it changed his life.
