    Loving Your Laundry

    Loving Your Laundry

It’s one of the many facts of life - the never-ending pile of dirty washing! The laundry is often the least favourite room in a house and understandably, we want to minimize time spent in there. But, you can actually style your laundry to be a beautiful, functional, and efficient space that you love walking into every day. In today’s episode, Rebeka and special guest, Tamara, chat about the set-up of their all-important laundries. Between them, they have 11 children and, as you can imagine, a tonne of washing! They’ve both had to become very efficient and organised in planning their washing, storage, and instilling routines in their children. They talk about Tamara’s renovation that cut into her laundry room, and the ideal solution she found to save on space. Rebeka talks about her love for organisation and how she utilises her hampers for different types of clothes. She even has a Samsung washer and dryer that sends her a text message when the cycles are complete! Now that’s systemised.Storage is very important in a laundry and something you can play around with to find the best solution for your family. Think about the flow of your house and the way the activity moves through your home. By systemising processes and organising the bits and pieces, you’ll be able to accomplish more in less time and get everything on your to-do list done. Rathmines - How DID We Do It?

Our Rathmines project is complete! We DID it!! The South house is now on the market and we are super excited! All of the little features and design techniques have come together to create an absolutely incredible space. In this episode, Kribashini discusses the process of how the design and build were completed and includes some special shout-outs to members of the BuildHer8 Team, John, and Ben Callery. Kribashini took a moment to enjoy the final product and is still amazed by the natural light and stunning views connecting the inside to all of the nature outside. Whenever you’re working on a project, always take time to just sit in your completed product to truly appreciate how much work has gone into it and how far you’ve come. Throughout this venture, we have filmed an in-depth, behind-the-scenes web series that will be released soon. It will include the process of the build, the designing sessions, the members of the BuildHer8 team, how we managed to keep moving forward throughout all of the challenges that arose from covid. We can’t wait to show you - watch this space! Rachel Beierle @rachelb.design ,

Exactly what I was looking for!

I can not explain how excited I was when I came across the BuildHer Collective, and then to find out they had a podcast!! I’m an interior designer with a yearning to design and develop properties for profit. I didn’t know where to start or who to reach out to for advice, but now I feel like I’m heading in the right direction! These women are amazing at what they do and to think this information is free!? It’s too good to be true :) Thank you for all that you offer and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, positive environment to help make their building goals come to life.
