    18. 8 Lessons from Yoga Teacher Training That Shaped My Motherhood

Erin reflects on the eight powerful lessons she learned during her yoga teacher training in Costa Rica — and how those lessons continue to shape her motherhood journey today. Fresh off her wedding and honeymoon, Erin took a leap of faith and invested in a two-week immersive training experience, not knowing it would unknowingly launch her into entrepreneurship, spiritual growth, and eventually motherhood. Now, years later and raising three daughters, she looks back at that “pre-motherhood” version of herself with gratitude — integrating the wisdom she gained rather than grieving who she once was. This episode is an invitation to reflect on your own life experiences and see how they’ve shaped the woman and mother you are today. Erin shares eight core lessons from her training: Why investing in yourself makes you a better mother The growth that comes from stepping into the unknown The necessity of community and emotional support How vulnerability creates deep connection The importance of rituals and quiet reflection Why confidence builds through repetition The resilience that comes from simply showing up The healing power of touch She also reflects on the magic and wonder woven into both yoga and motherhood — and how breath remains one of her most powerful tools for regulation and connection. This episode is for the mother who sometimes misses her “old self,” for the woman wondering if it’s too late to invest in her growth, and for anyone who needs a reminder that motherhood is both grounding and magical. She also shares why perfection is not required to begin, why owning your audience is critical in today’s digital landscape, and how Human Design has shaped the way she structures her business for sustainability and alignment. 16. Building Resilience: Lessons from the Inca Trail that Shaped my Motherhood

In this episode, Erin reflects on one of the most transformative adventures of her life — hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu at 26 years old — and the powerful parallels it holds for motherhood a decade later. She shares the story of trekking 26 miles over four days through steep mountain passes, unpredictable weather, altitude sickness, and self-doubt — and how that experience quietly built a core belief that now anchors her as a mother: I can do hard things, even if I’ve never done them before. Erin unpacks seven lessons from the Inca Trail that continue to shape how she approaches pregnancy, birth, sleepless nights, entrepreneurship, and raising her daughters. This episode is a reminder that the adventurous, brave woman you were before motherhood didn’t disappear. She became the foundation for the mother you are now. Your past experiences are not separate from your motherhood journey. They prepared you for it. Whether you are navigating early motherhood, building a business, or standing at the edge of something that feels bigger than you, this conversation will remind you that confidence comes through experience, not before it. 15. The Year of the Fire Horse: Stop Waiting. Start Doing.

In this episode of the Built From Love podcast, Erin explores the energetic shift into 2026 through the lens of the Year of the Fire Horse in the Chinese Zodiac. She contrasts it with the reflective, shedding energy of the previous Wood Snake year and invites listeners to step into a season of courage, momentum, and forward movement. Erin shares how the Fire Horse represents freedom, decisiveness, vitality, and action — a powerful contrast to last year’s slower, inward-facing transformation. She encourages mothers and creative entrepreneurs especially to stop sitting on ideas and instead take imperfect, aligned action. This is not the year for overthinking or waiting for permission. It’s the year to move. She also introduces her coaching calls (including Human Design readings) as support for women ready to launch or grow their ideas in alignment with their unique energy. This episode is a call to stop scrolling, start creating, and trust that momentum builds through motion, even if that motion is slow and steady. 13. What Happens When You Step Away? A Year without Social Media

Welcome to our first episode of 2026 ! In today’s episode, I’m sharing a personal and intentional decision I made at the start of this year: stepping away from social media for all of 2026. After more than a decade of being consistently online — both personally and professionally — I felt a deep pull to slow down, reclaim my time, and experiment with what life, motherhood, and business could look like without the constant presence of social platforms. This episode is a reflection on time, technology, motherhood, and meaningful connection in an increasingly digital (and AI-driven) world. In this episode, I talk about: Why becoming a mother has continually stripped my life down to what’s truly essential The surprising moment Gilmore Girls sparked my desire to step away from my phone How social media can create a false sense of connection — and what deeper connection might look like instead Why boredom, slowness, and offline creativity are not only okay, but necessary My thoughts on AI, content creation, and where marketing is headed next How I plan to nurture my business without social media (email, podcasting, writing, word of mouth, and more) The return to tangible things: journaling, photography, snail mail, letters, and living documentation Modeling healthy tech habits for our children in a screen-saturated world This is not an anti-technology episode. It’s an invitation to examine how we use our tools, and whether they’re serving us or silently consuming our time, attention, and creativity. As we move deeper into the AI age, I believe we’ll see a collective longing for what’s slower, more human, more imperfect, and more real. This year is my personal experiment in listening more closely to my inner voice, creating from the heart, and building a life and business slowly. If this episode sparked something in you, I’d love to hear from you. You can email me, leave a comment on YouTube, or share your thoughts wherever you’re listening. Thank you for being here. I’m so excited for what this new season of the podcast will bring, including some incredible upcoming guests. As always, keep building your life and work from a place of love.
