He made it all the way to BUD/S in Coronado — where stress fractures and exhaustion took him out before he ever saw Hell Week. That's also where he found Barabbas Road Church, through a classmate who'd rolled out ahead of him.After the Navy, Jeremiah set his sights on becoming a firefighter — one of the hardest jobs in the country to get hired for in Southern California. What followed was a two-year gauntlet of interviews, background checks, and a pregnant wife carrying the family financially while he worked EMT shifts for scraps. The job offer came days before his son was born.
