To celebrate Halloween, The Midnight Macabre Podcast – hosted by Laura Lambton (Emily Booth) – presents a week of daily live broadcasts from Old Mill Lane in Bramshire, a location with a reputation for being one of the most haunted places in Britain. Each night, Laura introduces a story reconstructed from the gruesome past of the mill, in an effort to unpick the mysteries of its dark history, culminating in a grand finale as Halloween arrives.

There’s a factory, long since abandoned, sealed up and left to rot for over twenty years. And yet when young podcaster, May, arrives looking for answers about two missing urban explorers, she only finds more questions. Why can she hear laughter echoing through the empty halls? Why can she hear toy commercials playing on TV’s that nobody is watching? And why are there still toys here, as if waiting for somebody, anybody, to play with them? Mostly, though, why is there a brutally murdered body on the floor? Forced to venture deeper inside, she will have to uncover the mysteries of the toy factory, the magic and ancient horror at its core, and come face-to-face with the toymaker himself. Nathan Alabaster’s life has gone to hell but luckily his childhood dog has just moved in. She’s amazing.
