We are passionate about small business and local, handmade art. We have been busy bees with our four kids - the newest addition was just recently born in August 2021! We both have full-time jobs in HR Learning & Development. We hope to share insight into the inner-workings of small businesses and what it takes to be an event promoter and coordinator.     Episode 052: Leveraging Other Businesses and the Community to Expand Business (w/James on Main)

    Meet the man behind the amazing events at Tranquillity Farms! Kevin Asciutto, the General Manager of James on Main, saw an opportunity to expand his business and clientele... and never looked back. Back in early 2020, Kevin's restaurant was suffering due to Covid-19. Instead of closing the doors to weather the storm, he decided to build a "curbside to go" side of the business. After seeing success and feeling more involved in the community, Kevin turned his attention to on-site catered events at Donaldson Farms and Tranquillity Farms, in Hackettstown and Green Township respectively. He discovered that with the help of other businesses, we all could create craft experiences for customers where they could safely enjoy and consume our products.
